Here in the US everybody that loses wants to claim the election "was fixed".

The only one I think could have been fixed was when GWBush and those powers that be had the Florida votes counted so many times they couldn't consistently decide what the count was, except that GW won.

Is there a faction that claims all voting is "fixed" in Canada? I just wonder if politics are that different up there.

for the most part our elections are "fair", but the system is still pretty fucked. for example, our federal majority government only received 39% of the vote. they also ran a robocall campaign to known opposition voters in key ridings, which instructed voters to vote at a different location than they were supposed to.

 

Oh my...that (bolded), if it were proven down here would be reason to have the vote done over.

 

It has been dragging on in court since the election, they have not yet determined if the person/people responsible were acting on their own initiative, or on behalf of the conservative party.

my riding went to the conservatives by only about 15 votes, and we were one of the robocall-affected ridings, so it is safe to assume that it may have had a significant impact here.
