i just had an interview and totally bombed one of the questions haha but he seemed cool about it. i had such a mental block that i can't even remember the question. damn you nervousness! the second half went pretty well though and they're doing second interviews within a week so i hope he gives me the chance to redeem myself!

I was at a music festival that started on Thursday and I just got back yesterday (Sunday).

Overall it was good, but there was a hell of a lot of drinking. Basically everyone was smashed or drinking during the entire festival, at least at the camping.

Anyway, there was this one guy that everyone seemed to know and hate for some reason.. this guy was nice enough to buy people alcohol since they weren't old enough to shop for themselves.

Later at the camp while he was gone his tent was first hoisted into the air on a rope as a joke, which was pretty harmless (I'll admit I did help to hold the tent up when it was hoisted). Later the joke went way out of hand, though.

2 kilos of flour were dumped in and on his tent, water was poured all over it, it was pissed on, burned, most of his stuff was stolen from the tent and someone tossed his own shirt that they lit on fire into the tent.

Damn thats fucked up! Hoisting it is pretty funny, but ruining other peoples shit is just not cool.

 

Yeah I completley agree.. I think part of the problem was some sort of mob mentality, though. Once a few people started fucking around with the tent a bunch of others wanted to as well.

Yup once a couple people start doing something the rest of the crowd seems to think all the sudden its acceptable.

On a side note I just ordered tickets to see Primus in September. I'm stoked!

Thing is, there where probly ACTUAL bad people there, who deserved having that happen to their things.

I distrust drunk people, especially in crowds.

Anybody got any advice on cooking shrimp? They're kinda big-ish, not like popcorn shrimp, and currently frozen, I think they've also got full shells and whatever on them, which I don't know how to deal with, but I'm sure I'll figure it out.

Was going to use my (googled) onion ring batter recipe, 3/4ths cup beer, 1&1/3rd cup flour, 2 egg yolks, seasonings, but now I'm wondering if I need a special shrimp recipe that will cook at the same speed as the shrimp, so I don't end up with burned batter and raw shrimp inside, or something? I found another place with google that says to dip them in milk, and then roll in flour, and just fry them like that. And how do I know when deep fried shrimp are done? As they're large, is ending up with them raw in the middle a concern?

Or any advice on other, prefferable methods for *sort of large-ish, not huge* shrimp?

In return: the secret for awesome hot ketchup-ish dipping sauce for ANYTHING: ketchup of your choice, with between a third and an eigth chipotle flavor tabasco stirred in. Ideally, of course, made with non-high fructose or other evil ketchup.
