then dont be pressured into moving out with someone who obviously doesnt 'get' what goes into it. live at home as long as you can, save up the money you can for a nest egg, make a decent cushion to fall on in hard times.

 

You don't realize how little you have until you move out and have to buy it all yourself. Your parents have allot of shit your using every day. I didn't notice until I was on my own.

 

I'm probably going to be the one that makes her realize that she can't afford it. I can hardly afford living at home.

this would be a good example of why its important to know and understand and have the supplies for basic first aid. im not saying vodka (not flavored, though) wont sanitize a wound, but theres a time and a place for it. you should always have clean water available to you. and know pressure points to control/ slow the bleeding. a gash needs to be cleaned and compressed closed, if its deep its should be stitched on each level (muscle, skin) or wrapped in such a way that the inner layers meet up the right way. also- pouring vodka on a wound does not guarantee that any grit present gets rinsed out.
people like that would not be my friends for long. and if you are stupid when you drink, you shouldnt do that either. just my $0.02

i guess i am lucky to be alive because ever since i was 21 i can only remember swimming while having some sort of alcohol....except that one time when i went to the beach with my christian friend and his kids but otherwise...i just put the two together like chocolate and peanut butter.

 

I think we've all swam drunk...I have many many times....at the cottage growing up it was the norm

no.. I took my pool down. maybe next year Ill put it back up,, wasnt worth it this year. wasnt very hot at all. some days were hot, but I feel we're out the woods now., and winter is fast approaching..

 

whoa not so fast, sure it was a cool summer but we still have 3 months of fall to go. as for wyld. yes i have done that numerous times and have seen others do it and get nosebleeds. dont understand that myself but i guess thats because it never happened to me.

 

when I was 13 /i was bitten by a Jelly fish in Myrtle Beach,. If I went from hot to cold water, I would pass out and get nose bleeds too.. really weird. I had that til I was about 16 and it just went away.. thankfully it got me out if pool during 5th/6th grade... fucking grease water public school.. fuck that..
