It's Friday night and I'm gonna smoke so much weed that I'm bordering on a psychedelic experience.

Seriously...... my washing machine just broke fuck me....no $ either to get one.

 

this girl who ive been talking about in the stoners lounge i not seen in 5 years asked if their was a chance she can move in if her place doesnt work...cause i do have extra bedroom with bed..

i dont know what to say...lol.. i told her we gotta have this talk in person cause i dont even know what we are but we both attracted to each other, we have some history for sure, and i can see where this might go but at the same time...ummmm

she is almost 4 years older than me...

i dont know what to do, i want two women, they both want me, they dont know each other, they both have weird fucking backgrounds and dont want relationships, but we want each other,..... this is all such a damn mess. now one wants to move in and its umm wtf.....ahh

 

im preparing to pick a... well, not a fight. i dont pick fights if i can help it. lets just say i hope to win the government over with logic. no livestock is currently permitted here in residential areas (though most of the county is rural, go figure)

i want chickens, rabbits, and goats (of the nigerian dwarf or pygmy variety)

and, lets face it. it is now legal to grow marijuana here, so whats so bad about some happy chickens? and when the wind changes, OMG the cow poop odor washes over the neighborhood. it is not a smell that bothers me, i rather enjoy it, but compared to composted chicken poop is a much bigger nuisance to your average joe. the city of denver, where most residential lots are on about 1/10th of an acre, now allows up to 8 birds, whether chickens or geese/ ducks, and chickens are cleaner than their wet poop cousins.

and to boot, im planning on a greenhouse and raising fish. oh they dont know what they are in for!

i am SO looking forward to spring. but i have to prep now, because "spring" here involves snow.

there is no way to collect chicken poop unless they poop over a screen...

its runny much of the time and stinks worse than one might think...the coop floor gets covered in it within 2 days of putting fresh straw down..their perchs get covered and coated in hardened shit that drips down on the straw...

the rain washes the chicken shit into the ground in their area and will get into the water table

it will be very time consuming to not use the traditional method of having a huge area to put shit coated straw to compost...chicken shit must sit 2 seasons before you can put it in a garden but ideally for 2 years...it will burn roots if put too early...

this is why most towns and cities restrict to 2 birds or like your town,no birds

i been dealing with chicken shit of a dozen birds since i moved in...trust me..on a hot day non chicken owners can smell it real easy

Things are great. Anyone that can afford internet and keep their family fed is doing all right. I had to leave for a few months because... I get bored and do other things.

i actually dont get depressed.....i should be fucking king of the mopeys lol....but no...just thanks that i woke up on the right side of the grass today

 

oh, dont get me wrong, i know manure is stinky, and bird types especially messy, but i think if well-kept it cant be worse than summer cow shit, or summer dog shit, yuck. plus i want 2-4 birds, so a little less mess. and i have no neighbors to the rear, so there are fewer folks to irritate. it might take some time to get it allowed, but im up for it. our ultimate goal is to build a house on farmland. someday. but for now it is starting from the ground up, building our systems and learning what we want to do and how best to accomplish our goals. acquiring tools, building things to serve our purposes. even if a chicken coop and a milking stand cant be used for awhile, i can still get the equiptment designed and constructed. im not going to push livestock this year, i need to network, but i will push gently. i need to find other pro chicken people. this year is for the garden. i have to get beds built, amend the soil, especially in the asparagus beds, and get the greenhouse done. busy busy busy. but i will work now, and get a break during the snowy spring. having a house is nice. way better than barbie's dream.

 

chicken farms make me gag when driving by them in the dog days of summer
