    Well its good money, when you are good with your money, and no house payment, no credit card, no car payment, no kids, no wife, and i up and leave at any point and do the same work else where.

    Other than my ssn, i don't really exist.

    Rolling niiice mate, sounds like you showed a southern girl some southern gentlemen-ship and a pretty swanky date I might add (that limo was pretty slick mang lol). Her folks are right, you should come down experience the nice folks and the delicious food - though it runs pretty hot down here so be prepared to sweat a bit if you down come down. Don't worry everyone is sweating too lol.

    C'mon down!

    @Broony.. what's your hourly wage?

    Here in MN waitstaff gets minimum wage.. across the border in WI.. waitstaff make $2 and some change an hour

    yeah well aware waitstaff can make good money... But I don't like people more often than not.. so i stay in the kitchen..

    i get 9.19 an hour, but for 7 months of the year i walk out with $100 to $200 a day, everyday cash in pocket, and i never claim cash tips cause it really tells on your pay stub.

    i live my life off my tips and then a check rolls around every 2 weeks and it almost feels like a bonus.

    yes you have to have patience, but i do it for the money and learn to deal with the bullshit, you get good at it after awhile, if you not loony in the head like some of my fellow employees are.

    Its a big mountain resort.

    Their is a giant breakfast/dinner dining room. Dinners are 4diamond professional work. Then next to that is the bar, or giant lounge...its a big place, and its where im at.

    Driving up there is one the of best roads to rally in summer and winter because its considered 'private' and cops don't patrol...you know what cars work up there cause they be movin.

    yes very serious.. Tipped employees in Wisconsin can make below the minimum wage.. last i knew it was like $2.35/hr

    according to the DOL.. a employer can pay tipped employees as low as $2.13/hr(5 states follow this law).. IF they make over the minimum wage after tips are accounted for.. if they make under minimum wage afterwards.. the employer must make up the difference

    it's not like their customers don't know... which benefits them more tips on average... I've worked at some places in Wisconsin where waitstaff walked out with $100 on very slow nights...

    not including hourly... waitstaff make at least $20/hr... base wage means nothing to a waiter or waitress
