Child injuries from falling TVs increasing in U.S.

    More likely, its Walmart contracting out to the lowest bidder.

    I had heard it is mainly IKEA furniture that does that...

    The TV manufacturers themselves have been working on improving their mounts but, within ten years, it won't matter anymore. By that time, you should be able to buy a 55" TV that weighs almost nothing, dirt cheap. The newest screens are transparent and can be used for windows.
