hippiestead you are so right on about most case workers!
as i said though, there are those who are just starting out in the field, with little or no training at all, and they make a lot of fuck-ups as they are trying to learn the ropes. my heart goes out to both the case workers, who cause a lot of pain to both themselves and others, due to their igorance as they, are trying to learn how to work the system to help others.
then, there are those case workers who are public servants who have learned how to work the system, and really do try their damnest to help people. those people are angels!
the scum of the earth, are the case workers who think they are public masters... THEY JUST DON'T GIVE A SHIT HOW BADLY THEY HURT OTHERS!

To me, it's about the children. I was involved for several years with children who had been taken from their parents and I'll tell you truly, the things some of those children endured were soul destroying for them. It's not easy even just seeing what happens to the defenseless. I've known a number of CPS caseworkers and the majority really are angels - angels working at the edges of hell.

I'm not saying the OP's children were treated with cruelty, but I think there is more to the story than they were living in an RV. I could be wrong. As I said earlier, it's dangerous to fuck with the man and they (the OP's family) may have just encountered someone on an anti-hippie power trip.

Regardless, what I said earlier is accurate: Figure out how to change the things that they've charged you with and do it. To tell you the straight truth, a good place to start will be with attitude and anger.

We dealt with with CPS. Young workers out of college. They showed up on an anonymous call about weed. I dont smoke with anyone around here. It was my neigbors who were supposed to br friends. Any way, cps asked for my kids mom to piss in a bottle. In our house. WTF! She said would need lawyers advice first. They asked to look around which she let them do. I was at work. If they would have gotten the piss test they may have found painkillers which may have got CPS grounds to mess with us. Never heard back from them.

I went without my children for a year and a half because of them. They took them away from me after I took a weeks vacation to the gathering and my husband never picked me up, so I said thats it Im leaving you, Ive had enough, The kids were supposed to be spending time the husbands side of the family that they dont get to see very often. I should have never said that because once I got home, he had a restraining order on me saying I abandoned them. It took a year and a half to get them back because I had to prove to the court that I was stable and normal. One look at my hair and clothes and they were like,,yup bad mom. Then my ex husband gets caught driving drunk with my babies in the car, they both were filthy and had extreme cases of lice,, It took that to let them come home,,even then they assesed me for a year,, Its finally over now and Im so thankful. 100 % correct on most dhs workers, some are decent, but if you look different it takes a lot of warming up to you.
