last day of school! woohoo, summer vacation! im going through his giant bag of end-of-school work now. and then we will make dinner, and i will make bread this evening. my grandmother is bringing out her mothers irish soda bread recipe, its and heirloom, my nana came over from ireland when she was just a girl. 11/12 years old. im going to paint it on canvas and hang it in my kitchen. i can not tell you how excited i am to inherit this recipe.

har har, i guess you are technically right, but i cant pour my excitement into a pdf file so that you can all really grasp it. even my mom was super excited to hear it, she said that my nana always had the best irish soda bread. oh boy. an my mom inherited her (deep south) grandmother's cookbook, so i get to reference that and copy out recipes.

So at work we got a few new interns here for 3months. We get them every summer as they come from all over.

Well of the new ones, one is a black girl and i mean black... such dark skin.. and she got braids.. she really cool. She my height and a little big... not huge though.

Well i made a joke not to her and she laughed... then a fucking cook looked at me in disgust after i told him i need a new plate of food asap, hurry now, no fucking around...
