i'm lutheran and love the services..it's better then baptist churches where they make you feel gulity of being human..i think that a lot of now christians base religion on churches like that..maybe what she is thinking is that the catholic and luthern curches are more formal not boring. that did sound harsh by her

 

We're closer to God now because we've got ENGLISH Bibles, back then they didn't know what they were doing, because they couldn't read it. Of coarse, Jesus' desciples started a Church. But after a few centuries the whole thing got turned and twisted in order to get pagans in.

 

you don't even know jesus so how could anyone remind you of him anyways...you already said you don't belive in god..and as for the homo thing..i belive that if someone does not perform sexual acts and repent that they will be let into heaven..it's when you act on your sins and dont' ask for forgivness that you are screwed..yeah i have a bad mouth and sin all the time but i repent everyday and pray for the strenght to be stronger..but you don't belive in god so there really isn't any point of any of us telling you anything about the christian life. you are who you are

 

you suggest i am maleducated in buddhism? Rubbish. What would spur these thoughts? I used to consider myself buddhist, and I went to learn at the national buddhist organization in NY when I was 16. Been studying it sense 7th grade.... but when I was about 17 I realized that there were flaws in its teaching, like most things... went to persue my own beliefs.. here I am now.

I wasn't meaning to offend catholics. The thing is just that catholicism took in many tradition, rituals, etc...to get pagans in. This includes the Mary Worship. Now Lutheran is a different story, Martin Luther actually was the first protestant and rebelled against catholicism.

 

I know jesus as well as you do. I read the same words in the bible as you do... and i know what jesus was all bout' and todays christians arent him.

I meant war as in physical warfare, killing people . Martin Luther wasn't physical, he didn't kill. We thank him that we now have Bibles in different languages!

And those Popes back than were all about power, not God.

 

how are we NOT like him? Sure nobody's perfect like him. But we now have the ability to obey The Word.

 

I had already took that test, go to the belief o matic thread... my results were 97% theravada... and like I said, I dont agree with everything taught... but that doesnt mean I dont KNOW what is taught... i very well know what its all about, but I have things I disagree with... One thing that I know for sure, is that buddha never talked about a God.. and that believing in a god is not essential to practice, believe, and take part in buddhism, although some do.

first, i think "Holy BuyBull" and "Christanity for Retards" probobly falls under the catergory of mocking and bashing

secondly, this is not a judgement on any one person, but i think lots of times, many people do come and post in here just to antagonize the people who frequent the boards, there are many good posts that are quite harmless, but then later escalade into further more heated debate, and even into flamming...but i mean, i just found the whole "bullshit" and stuff and complete lack of respect for others faith to be appalling

if he was trying to antagonize he ouwld not have stuck around to defend his belives in a good way..he would have posted it and then did like this paul and poet dude did today in the random thoughts forums to me. they posted something i responded to it and they didn't agree so they started bashing me and got all their friends to do the same and then followed me around the forums doing it everywhere i was posting.
