I took a look at the site and you have to understand that I do not believe in God based purely out of fear but becuase the God of the Bible is the truth.

So are you a prophet now? Or perhaps immortal? How do you suppose that you'll still be around?[IMG]

The Bible hasn't been wrong yet on its prophecies and i dont plan on it being incorrect for the future.

I have not sincerely confronted reality because I'm a Christian? Wow. As one of my professors said to me recently, "People sometimes have the impression that Christianity takes you out of the world. The true Christian faith puts you more into the world than before you were a Christian." Can't quote exactly, but his point was that faith in Christ doesn't put me smug and lazy in my own home, completely uninvolved in the world. You are right: I have confronted existence and I don't like what I see everywhere. I believe in a real evil presence in the world. I also believe in real goodness and love. I believe that Christ's love through people can change the world.

Like any institution that has some human control, the Church is not perfect. No human, or Christian is. But using the vehicle of the Church, God can work amazing wonders in the world. I don't think God only uses the Church, but it isn't some all-evil corrupted institution.

who are you to say that Christians are not authentic? We are real people with real convictions and firm beliefs just like anyone else. We cry, we laugh, we feel pain, we dance, we hope, we write, we sing, we love!

i speak on behalf of my brothers and sisters in CHrist, We no longer HAVE to deal with the problem of meaninglessness as you say...our lives have never had more meaning. Emptiness? HA! not an inch! AND we will never be lonely again! Jesus is the only friend that has not let us down. He is the only friend who's love is completely unconditional.

Yeah,, I know... but this is all assuming God actually exists.

Can you at least see where I am coming from? Think hypothetically, for a second examine your life and your beliefs and what they would be WITHOUT god.

What is this "G-d" thing about?

Ive enjoyed, loved, and lived life more ever since i became a christian so i can simply say that your statement is false. Also, i never worry about what will happen when i die, and wondering about death is not what made me turn to religion.

Is there any prove that God, or Jesus even existed? Not that I know of, although I could be wrong. I felt that after I stopped believing all of that Christianity bullshit, I felt as if there was a huge burden lifted off my shoulders. A belief in any one person is like beleiving that one person controls all humans. I said it before, I feel like to be part of a religion like Christianity, is like being a part of a cult. Christinsanity, if you ask me.
