we all have problems obeying. We would be lying if we said this road was easy. It's alot harder to swim against the current.

...Yet if Jesus Christ appeared to you a week before this post, you would have a complete change of heart. To you, Jesus Christ has not presented Himself to you... but then again, have you been seeking him? Have you LET him present himself, or do you keep saying "No, Christ is dead".

Revelations 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

    Will you open the door?

Fuzzy, if Jesus wasn't risen from the grave, why did the apostles leave their home Israel and go preach a foreign God? Some things don't fit in, if Jesus didn't raise from the dead.

You may say, "they went out and preached his word anyway, even though he was dead". But they were all Jews, they knew the Hebrew God said this was a big no-no if they did not KNOW Jesus was their saviour. They didn't fancy pulling down the wrath of God by following a false god. If Jesus didn't rise from the dead, then some things just don't fit.

No, lad, you misread it. I'm saying, WHY did the apostles leave Jerusalem IF Jesus wasn't raised?

Exactly. You can explain away just about any other aspect of christianity except this and the immediate impact it had on the world after his death.

There were alot of wanna-be messiahs in Judea around that time.
From what history can tell us their followers disbanded and their movements dissolved after the leaders death or imprisonment.

why then did "Jesus"s apostles regroup and continue what he started after his death?

And how do we explain the fact that christianity spread the way it did, attracteding 10s of thousands of followers with churches on three continents within 15-17 years of his death?

I haven't personally decided what but something is going on here.

You weren't around during the American Revolution either. Infact, all we have of that time are writings, artifacts, and bodies.

Of course though, we have writings from the apostles.

We also have the bodies of the Saints too, proving they actually did leave Israel. Infact, there's a holiday in one middle eastern country honoring the transferring of St. Thomas's body after his death. July 3rd, I believe.

So maybe this whole Jesus thing isn't just made up. ;)

If it is all made up, then some things by logic won't fit.

In fact, some things would be very screwed up in the apostle's intentions if Jesus was actually dead.

Sure there are some who profit off of religion. That exists everywhere, there are people who profit off of capitalism, certainly communism, big business, everything. That's the men who are doing that, though. The Lord is still The Lord, He is still good even if the men screw it up.

Still lad, go back to the apostle thing. Perhaps Christ rose from the dead?

perhaps a walk through the HOly lands, especially jerusalem would help...there are so many pieces of history there from Bible times that would cause you to think again whether these people existed or not.

    things like:

~The Garden of Gathsemene, where Jesus cried and prayed before going to the cross
~Golgotha hill (AKA the place of the skull) where Jesus was crucified
~The Garden Tomb where Jesus was buried
~the place Jesus ascended, Mt. of Olives

there is a true history over there, and without a Bible we would still have heard the awesome miracles, death, and ressurection of an innocent man named Jesus, and that He was the son of God, our Messiah.

  13. if you had actually read my argument you wouldn't be saying that......

there is no way to do either, so you have to have faith he doesn't exist just as much as I have to have faith he does, I at least have infrastructure supporting me

    you have misinformation and ignorance.......

I agree that through the world we know we can see there is a God. Or something akin.

The proof is in the pudding. Nobody's traveled through time yet, but I'm betting it will happen, along with many other scientific breakthroughs. We are also on the verge of stopping the aging process. We have teleported particles. We may not be able to travel faster than the speed of light, but possibly around it. Heck, we may even be able to transform ourselves into light one day!

Now, isn't it likely that there is life elsewhere in existence? And isn't is probable that at least one lifeform is far more technologically advanced than our own? I think it's obvious that God exists because we know that technology can turn us, in effect, into God, and it seems kind of silly to suggest we would be the first civilization in all of existence this has happened to.

If you can travel through time and not age, you can live infinitely. Imagine the technology you would aquire after living infinitely! Is our universe the only one that has ever been? The only existence? Not bloody likely. In all probability there is a lifeform that exists, in effect, everywhere at all times. It may not even exist in a body anymore. Who knows. But I'm telling you, where there is love and technology, anything is possible. Just use your damn imagination!

Well talking about evidence, when are you going to check out the evidence for the Red Sea crossing site they discovered a few years back. And what about those extra Biblical writings that discovered that mirror what the Bible stated about God splitting the Red Sea. And how about those pillers put there by Solomons workmen to mark the site so future generations could remember what happen there. Or how about those charoits wheels, with those horse and human coral incrusted bones they are finding down there. What about that evidence? The evidence is there, but your the one who has his mind made up. Your the one with the dogma.

how is he supposed to find the light when folks like you talk to him like that? Makes the heart even harder, you know. I dont know if you call yourself a Christian or not, but please, that did not make any sense. Treat others the way you would like to be treated.
