I respect everyone's religion. I may not believe it, but I respect it nonetheless. If you don't believe someone's religion, that's fine. We are entitled the right to freedom of religion, and different people walk down the spiritual path that they feel is best for them. If someone crawls under your skin, just brush it off. People can be disrespectful, but it's best just to let it go. Much love to you.
I loathe Christians as well. Don’t say that not all Christians are evil hateful bigots because that is a load of bull. EVERY….SINJLE….ONE I encountered is nothing more than a hatemongering, racist, homosexual basing waste of life. Christians are the source of all human misery in this world. Fuck them all! They cant even define their own religion, they must steal from ancient pagan ways and call it their own.
That's a bit stereotypical, don't you think? That would be like saying all Muslims are terrorists....
I dont personaly beleive in god, but I don't hate them for that. I don't like the christian church as much because it has misled its people into (most of them, not all) in to beleifs that are hippocriticall (yes I know I spelled it wrong) and hateful, but I don't hate CHristians themselves. I strongly disagree with some of their beleifs. And I respect religions like bhuddism and hinduism much more, but I can't hate them for having different opinions as me. They are doing what god tells them to because they beleive god is the answer to the worlds problems, I disagree, but I dont hate them for it
Mind Fuck is the perfect forum for this discussion because that is what we are discussing here - brainwashing. I have done some Bible research and it is fascinating. Most Xtians don't know that the Old Testament is the Jewish Bible. There are no historical writings to support the Jesus myth but a lot of other cultures have the same savior/crucifixion story. Nothing was written about him until 100 yrs. after his so-called crucifixion. It is an amazing Mind Fuck perpetrated on the "sheeples" originally by the Roman Church. The Protestants accepted these writings. Most people don't question the Bible or research to see who wrote this stuff or what was their hidden agenda. One of the brilliant writers put in there that "no man can alter the world of God" - Perfect!!! This is what I have gotten when I bring this up to hard cores. It's been interesting watching the "powers that be" rope in the "sheeples". All these politicians go to church and could care less about spirituality but they put on a good show for the sleepers. So we can have compassion for the brainwashed and thank our Higher Power that we are awake. The most important thing here is the fact that you've had your buttons pushed. This is a gift because you don't need those buttons that key you into stimulus/response monkey mind. So this gives you an opportunity to get rid of them. We are all a part of All That Is, we all share everything and are One; we are good and we are evil and when we wake up we consciously choose. Creation allows us to write whatever chapter in our Book of Forever we want. Bless all for their chosen trips and choose the frequency that makes you feel the best.
saying " all Christians disprove gay marriage" and "all or violent SOBs who hate all who dont follow them" is like saying "All white people support slavery" and this is how i see it People don't see the nice part groups they see the peices that are bold, rude mean, or ugly and that makes stereotypes, and i do not mean to offend ANYONE by this post (pardon my spelling mistakes im not the best ELA student)
it's ok, i loathe every fake psuedo hippie moron piece of shit who tries to express an opinion that is completely retarded but sounds good to them because they don't understand the difference between making a point and insulting the shit out of anyone who is smart enough to disagree with their "opinions" that their "friends" tell them they have. mentally retarded fake hippies are the source of all human misery in this world. period
all religions make people stupid!!!!! jesus isnt real!!!!!! sum dumb drunk guy wrote the bible while trippin on a mushroom he ate back in the day, which explains the burnin bush, and people believe wat happened back then but not now. if someone said they saw jesus or the virgin mary and actually did, they would be punished for "fooling around" and taking drugs wen they actually didnt. fuckin sux for sum people in the world, imagine growing up with Super Christians Of The Faith? wat about them mormons?
This has to be the most pathetic and narrow-minded thread that ANYONE has started on this forum. If you think that all Christians are like what you've described, you've got a lot of learning and growing up to do! I'm a Christian myself and I was very offended by what you've written. The Bible is NOT "all bullshit" as you say. It is a history book and a guide to living a happy, productive and prosperous life. Case in point: I have a good friend who was a screwed up speed and smack addict when I first knew him. Since he started reading the Bible and going to a small church, he's seen the stupidity of what he was doing to himself and has completely turned his life around and got himself a full time job which he loves. Not all Christians are right-wing homophobes either. I'm very much of a left-libertarian politically, and I don't freak out about gay/lesbian people or nudists or anyone else that a small minority of Christians take offence to. Jesus taught loving thy neighbour, peace, forgiveness. How you can dismiss him just because there are some people who have distorted his teachings is beyond me! I also advise you to take a look at this site: http://www.libchrist.com to see what the Bible REALLY says about gay people and other hot topics such as nudism, abortion, and several other things.
Have you ever read the Old Testament, the Jewish Bible. Yahweh is a fierce and jealous God who seeks revenge. I think you need to do a little Bible research instead of taking yet another person's opinion of what it means. It has been rewritten so many times for so many different agendas. Who the hell was King James? There are some good points in the Bible. The Jesus myth is a great one if people really believed in it. He was a groovy hippy who believed in peace and love. This myth was borrowed from pagan teachings that existed before Jesus was supposedly born. What went wrong with the myth? How many people have been killed in his name? I think you are speaking for a bunch of nice people who say they are Christians but have never really studied their "history". If you do, you may not want to give yourself that label. It's gruesome. Bush sucked in the Christian vote by saying he was a Christian and going to church (surface fluff) and if you believe your doctrine he is the anti-Christ. For a good article summarizing Bible history with lots of references for further study see: www.nexusmagazine/articles/NewTestament.html As far as your friend who "saw the light", I saw some of my hippy family go Jesus freak. It could have been anything that would give them hope to replace that lost feeling of separation from Source and lack of purpose for living. But do we really want to encourage people to give their power to yet another dogma or would it be better to wake up to our personal connection with the Divine, our Source of Love & Life, ourselves, no separation, Home. Which brings up another point - it's all about Jesus with the Christians more than God - Jesus was just a human like you and me but he didn't lose his connection to his Source. He always pointed out that we have the same connection. So what happened - he was deified, man is a wretched sinner who can't possible connect up with Source except thru Jesus. Bullshit! You have never lost your connection or you'd be dead. It isn't possible. You are the Source - the Source is you expressing itself as a humanoid having an Earthly experience. When you leave, you will go back home to the Light and Love from whence you came and wallow in ecstasy until you decide to go off into the Infinite Universe for yet another trip.
Only on disobedient people. I can't quote any figures, but Jesus Christ is not a myth. Go and do some research into Jewish history. I'm proud to be a Christian, and believe you me it takes more guts to stick up for a guy who was willing to give his life up to save others than to just worship yourself. I don't care whether there are "bad" things in the Bible, the fact is that the majority of modern Christians are not into doing or advocating those things that you knock Christians for. Many of the teachings of the OT were preached about by the Pharisees, whom Jesus Christ openly opposed. I certainly do not like George W. Bush or anything he stands for more than you do. In the Bible, Jesus had said "It is not everyone who calls me 'Lord, Lord' who will enter the kingdom of heaven, but those who do what God wants them to do." God certainly never told Bush to declare war on Iraq or to lie about weapons of mass destruction. I can tell you quite confidently that Jesus would reject Bush if he was to come back to earth today. As it goes, most people when left to their own devices and thoughts do not make very good decisions. How many of the members on here are into destructive behaviour such as getting drug-fucked, cutting themselves and into shameful and irresponsible sexual actitivies? I've read it all on this site, and I am not impressed. Some people go Christian because others have told them that it's 'cool' to do so (e.g. Hillsong Church in Sydney), others do it because its a last resort for them to better their lives or face a premature death. That was the choice that my friend made - it was either turn to Christ or just waste himself away on ice, heroin and speed and commit theft and constantly leech money of other people because he was incapable of working. He could have become a Hindu, Jew, Buddhist or a Muslim, but becoming a Christian was the choice that he made because it was the most accessible to him. Which goes back to what I said before: man often tends to lose his connection to his source through stuff like illegal drug use, alcohol abuse, gambling, and sexual abuse. If they reject the source, they get given over to reprobate minds and activities, which means that they cannot think straight. That is what hell is like.
hear hear!! jesus was god and human, and you must not judge christianity by the people who follow it, for we are all sinners and we are all on the same page with god in those terms, but u should look at its teachings itself, its pretty cool that god (jesus) will accept all of us into heaven if we just say we are truly sorry for our sins. also, there are many, many documents about jesus, most of them roman and concerning his death. so there is no question of whether or not he existed and was put to death, but you must choose to believe that he rose from the dead, that is the core belief, all the rest is secondary
ooo and as far as drug use, IMO it depends on wat u are using them for, i think there is a big difference in taking some synthetic shit to get “fucked” up than to taking a psychedelic organic (which god made to begin with) to achieve a better relationship with Him and to understand all of his wonder
You've based all of what you've said on a couple of stereotypes. You're actually quite the hypocrite because you've just made the most horrific generalisation. I'm gay and not Christian, but still find what you said very silly and misguided.
Everybody rises from the dead - how the hell do you think you got here? You write the script of your life - beware what you take as truth from any outside authority. The only way you will know your Source is to shut up Monkey Mind with all of its programs and listen. Not easy for most humans.
yeah bu that doesnt mean it is bullshit jsut because you were raised to believe that, dont you think your parents considered their faith in their youth? we can argue all we want but there will never be any hard proof that either side is right. and no, the roman documents i am referring to are ancient texts written about his execution, not roman catholic ones 350 years later. and how do u think we got here? how did this whole universe start? i mean, wat was before it, becuase there must have been a time of nothing. how did energy and matter come to be? and if your answers lie with todays science, why is it that the top scientists of today are TURNING christian resulting from their discoveries? such as steven hawking.... a long-time atheist turned christian. (he discovered black holes by the way)
Of course like everywhere else we are going to have people here for it and against it. Personally I am not religious, I consider myself a spiritual person but by no means do I believe in christianity. And that comes after going to private school for over 10 years, going to church every sunday, and coming from a very religious family. So I have had the education, but I still don't follow it. However, religion works for some people. And if it is used and practiced right i'm all for it. I don't hate on christians the way I wouldn't want them to hate on me. I think we should treat others as we want to be treated. There are always extremes. There are christians who are far misguided and preach hatred. It makes me scared to see where these religious extremest might take the world. I got so freaked out from that movie jesus camp I wanted to flee the country! But they are the extreme and i'm sure most christians can be ok. I just wish they would stop thinking they need to convert everyone.
ya well the way i look at it is people are gonna believe wat they want to believe, and you should respect their opinions but it is ok to discuss the matter politely with them. evidently, the bible says you will not go to heaven for just being a good person, you must accept jesus, but i am not 100% on that, but i do believe in him because honestly, how hard is it to do so, and if you are right then u get to spend eternity in paradise, but if u are wrong and there is no god, then u havent lost anything.
