Y'all better get busy if ya wanna catch up.

 

So, what's everybody been doing with themselves lately? Anything good going on. I'm having a wonderfull day so far. The weather is cooling down, it about 80 right now, is a blessed relief from the triple digets we have been having.

 

Wish I could send you folks some water. We get so much here,there should be a huge pipeline for water to you-all. There's a huge river close by and it runs full,100 yards wide ,all year long. We get 60 inches or so a year. It gets tiresome,actually--especially being in the roofing trade.

 

I wish you could too Joel, we sure do need it. Texas is on fire and there is no water, no rain since Spring to speak of. It's suppose to be like this another yr. I hope the trees make it another yr. It sure doesnt look good for us.

I haven't read "Hair" yet or edited it or put it in the layout or online. So, much for the raised eyebrows part of your theory. Quit being paranoid now. So, smile on that note.

If we cant even get our own to read/write then there will be no book, no UNITY, no togetherness. Ppl tell their tales day in and day out. They sit and have time on their hands. They have untensils to do the job, yet, No Stories!!

Zev, Ranger me and you are the only ones will balls enough to get something done around here.. Promises made, promises fulshed down the toilet.

How long could it possibly take out of ppls time ( I know everyone works 24/7) to jot down a few paragraphs.

If ya dont wanna, just say ya dont wanna and not ohh hell yeah, how cool, let's do it and then never get it done or even TRY.

I guess I am just asking too much. I guess that nobody really gives a shit, it was just a hoot to reconnect and then, big deal, so what.

All these yrs I've waited for IT to happen, for us to come together and do something great and uber cool. I guess, again, that I must not be the right person asking.

I see most of us on FB playing music, posting quotes and playing games. Me too but that is not all I do. I DO make time for my brothers and sisters. I do reach out and connect with them. I do try to keep us together but it has been an epic fail on my part. I have not fulfilled my purpose for coming.

Yeah, I hear you. Family don't even come here and visit and post anymore cause they all said they'd do something. I saw Leo Ron's name light up and Mousemans name a couple of times. Range and Rita don't post. Dan in Buffalo. Darel. Not even Chris.

Guess it's just you and me. Huh? And I'm not even much help, lately.

Did you know that there are some of us who just sit around doing nothing all month long every month and just sit around looking at each other? Many just collect a little check and do nothing. Way too many of us. Darel works.

None of us work 24/7, but my girlfriend, because she's a crazy workaholic.

 

Maybe, just maybe as the dog days of summer passes and a new dawn appears on the horizon of Autum, the creative juices will flow freely and will reach the fingertip and trigger the imagaination of our brethern.

Perhaps as the harvest is reaped and nights grow long, we can remember our times together and all the wacky, serious, outragous, loving, stupid and by the seat of our pants situations we experienced, will lend us to a place inside of each of us that is sacred unto our tribe.

Our Living testimony to an era that has been much mis-represented is our Legacy. I watched the televised, staged media hype that portrays us. Portrays what the government wants the public to see is really, really is what they saw.

THey televised mostly the women whos tits were hanging out, they showed the Love-Ins and all the drug use and Free Sex, which was not free sex, but free love, love and sex are very different from oneanother. It showed the protests, the rallies and the police guards standing in full war dress and dencending on us like devils with their tear gas and billy clubs.

What they didnt show was The Heart Of The Hippie. The day by day hippie and what they thought and why they were hippies. Thhey didnt televise the speakers, like Ginsburg, they would show brief clips of the founders of hippiedom but they never let the Message get fully out. They squashed it and rearranged it to suit them and to keep the people sheep. They were not about to relinquesh their grasp on the peoples minds.

Would it not be to the benefit of all human beings to know the real stories of The Hippie that, lived the Hippie Way, written by the ones that lived it. To clear our names of being dirty, a detrament to society, lazy and good for nothing communists.

Life was a celebration to us, something to enjoy and flurish under. It is not about the ratrace the machine grinds us threw on a daily basis. It was about a better way, a kinder and more generous way to treat human beings.

A statement of Freedom, not being own by any man or government.

Well I should save this for the book..lol.. that's funny huh.

 

Kenny, tell Mary Jo to wear shades when she reads my story Hair. It's so Hot it will sizzle her eyeballs out of her sockets. I hope it makes her blush. It did me while I was writing it.

Some of the things we did were a bit risque but I am sure they were happening in the collage dorms and in other places too, just most dont have the balls to write about it. Why have the experience if it doesnt help you grow. How would anyone gain wisdom without experiencing life.

I tried a lot of things, some I liked some I never did again, but the ones that didnt suit me did help me grow and know about life. It showed me different sides of coins. Maybe to help me in my healing work to understand and not judge, having experienced myself I could make more honest desissions.

just saying... if I can write about the things I have written in the book as revieling as they are, I dont see why the rest of us cant come up with a little this and that. I have not only broken the ice, I have oblitherated the glacier and made the path clear.

I do appericate Ranger and Zev for coming through. I'd hope it would prompt the others that have agreed to write, to write. I dont want to push to hard. I dont want to run our ppl off bc they dont want to be asked to partisapate in things that some of us think maight benefit us all and would be fun to do.

If it becomes a chore then it is not fun any more, if your nagged about it it makes ppl not want to do it. I dont not want to force anything on anyone. I just thought it would be fun. It is fun for me, every little juicy detail is what made me who I am today. If I had not experienced it and OWN it, they why not share the experience with those who havent known of such liberation.

Not everyone has the fire we do Kenny. I cant hold it against them for it. Ppl are just folks, they are not driven like we are. Maybe they dont want to be motivated, maybe they are content and have no desire to write a fucking hippie book. They are still our family.

 

Not to slight Kenny and his contributions. He has not only written very worthy entries but is putting this book together for us all. I thought that was a given but we all need appreciation for our efforts once in a while, so here's to you Kenny

Hey Scratcho..you know where Fall Creek is I bet. Close to Springfield. I lived right on Fall creek one Season with John and Lisa (and my wife and kids of course). That year we has a wonderful Summer! I left at end of OCT before the rains came. The water Pipline is a thing I have been thinking about for our peeps in Texahoma this year also!! Chit could have one from the Northeast and Northwest this year...And the upper Mississippi too!!

Kenny and Cakes do not worry by this time next year I bet dollars to donuts that you have a huge manuscript or maybe even a big ole Story book. I think some storys may have to have ratings like they do at the movies! PG, R, VERY R, VERRYY R. Well maybe no PGs LOL

Storys will come settle down kids do not break the pinyata just yet, I do not think the party has gotten into full swing yet!!!

I was thinking that it would be nice if Cakes and he husband could have food to eat, like, next month and the month after and all winter and spring. Seeing as they totally live off the land and all of there food for the whole year died in the drought two months ago now.

If we each wrote three stories to get started, there would be enough stories to produce a first segment of a book as an e-book, so that Cakes could eat. Would that be nice of us, Chris OCF...OCF..OCF....OCF na na na na na na na na

Being pennyless with nothing to eat is no fun. Anyone want to help replace Cake's lost garden? Her food for the year.

This project has now been underway officially for three months now. That's one quarter of a year. You only have 9 months left to lose that bet.

If all of us just wrote a handful of tales, a segment could be earning us money and PR as a real sellable e-Book.

Or I can start spare changing all of you by e-mail and hit up folks every two week all Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer to feed our Family in Texas. Chris? Can you just give her $200. real quick this week? Thanks buddy. Mousman, Your sister needs some cash for food. Can ya spare a hundred? I'm sure you can. Paul and Ellen? We're passing the hat. How many 50s can you throw in each week? Ranger, go to the swap meet and sell those rubies, and send the cash to Lyn and Cakes. They need your help now. Get back to being the provider now.
