Winters are mild here Maura, compared to other places. I do not remember ever going below 0 here, since I have been alive anyway. We get snow sometimes but not every yr. I suppose it does get colder ans snows in other parts of Texas, as Texas is huge and covers a lot of different elevations..

I am closer to Louisiana than I am to the western half or even central Texas, where it may be cooler. It used to be colder here when I was a child, when I lived in Dallas. It would snow there more often then it does here. even now.

The Dog Days Of Summer from july till sept, is very hot and humid Too hot to be out in it. But July/August is harvest and we have to be out in to bring in the crops..

I'm OK. I'm up to my nose in WORK, but it's fun work and pays very well.

We're in an unusual cold snap here. 33º f out side. About 0.5º celsius or centigrade. Cold gray predawn sky and the sun is just now thinking about coming up. In a few minutes.

I remember Arizona winters.. Not like winters here tho... we get wetter I think, more ice.

Yes, that is my Christmas Tree and the babies toys and winter clothes wrapped below all sparkling and tempting. I went to my grand daughter's yesterday and brought her a tree and all the trimmings, we decorated it and placed some packages underneath so the babies could have Christmas at their house on Christmas morning. We had so much fun putting it all together and it looked as beautiful as any tree out there.

If it wasn't for the kids, we wouldn't have a tree, but we have so many kiddos running around that they expect certain things, like cookies and Santa, and the works. I'll be cooking up a storm again in a couple of weeks.. more yummy yums to munch on. I love to cook, but I don't like to clean..lol
