    Kenny Good Morning,
Keep reading the 5th it plainly states

Article 5 of the US Constitution gives us the opportunity to impose Term Limits on the US Congress WITHOUT their approval. When 34 States request a Convention for a specific topic, an Article 5 Convention is called. At the Convention the Amendment is presented. Once ratified by 38 States, it becomes part of the US Constitution, without requiring the approval of the US Congress.

Yes, that is true. However you stated 5 Amendment Rights.

Article 5 is the original Constitution. The 5th Amendment is a part of the later add-on called the Bill of Rights. Two different things. But yes, I hear you.

Say, do you have any idea of how many votes it takes to change that? I believe that you need to have 13 states to put something like that, on the federal level, in order to get it included on the national ballet. (For a populous vote nationwide.) You can double check me on that one if I'm wrong. I'm remembering things from junior high school, now. But I think that that is the case.

38 states would be a 2/3 majority of 50 states and would make it a law, without the vote of congress or of the people at the polls. As I recall that's what happened with either creating prohibition or maybe getting ride of it. Something like that.

I wish you the best with that.

I think that the original writers of the Constitution simply figured that if the people no longer wanted a particular person in office, than they would vote him or her out the next election.

You do know why folks traditionally prefer open limits for the House of Reps and for the Senate, don't you?

Like if Texas has two Senior Senators (and each state only gets two) than Texas has way more pull and power and influence that other states that have new Junior Senators. That's how life works.

That's why some states prefer to have their guy sit there and serve 8 Senate terms. Their state get to influence the votes in the Senate.

Republican states like to keep their power and Democratic states like to keep theirs. That's all. Votes and politics.

So, how are you today? I'm on the 3 a.m. to noon shift, today. I don't plan on getting a darn thing done today. LOL

    A Disclaimer.
    for the I.R.S. and others

    This space is a Church.

We are not taking one political point of view here. People here may and do have different points of view.

This is merely free discussion. People talking.

The church is not taking a stand nor is it pro-offering any particular side to influence change of any laws.

That would be completely against any non-profit church rules.

Just a simple notice to any casual readers, here.

    Thanks, Kenny
    Church General Secretary.

Term Limits is not promoting any "Party" but only promoting the people's rights to impose these term limits on career politicians.

What I'm trying to say is that some people prefer the elected officials that they have elected being elected to serve them for a 3rd term and a 4th term. That's all that I saying. And that there are real reasons for them to feel that way, also.

Was Hubilicious able to get the tractor fixed yet??? Just curious.

I'm working on the Fed IRS papers and reading the instructions. The instructions to 990-EZ say that we have until 5/15/2014 to file. Not April 15. We're getting there. I haven't look at Texas tax website yet.

Hi Roamy. How's it all going. It's springtime in Ireland. It must be greener then GREEN. Right?

    Hey All.

I just talked with Mike. Great call. Says his computer is acting up. He's not here. He asked if Tony had been around lately. I said nope. WE miss him.

He asked if everyone here was doing OK.
    I said, "Yes"

We were wondering which town Sag Darel was in now. Nobody has a phone number for him. Mary Jo reminded me that Darel had dropped his last cell phone in his campfire in his Tee Pee. Crazy. I can't believe that I am actually writing that. LOL

Cakes I need to call you. Would ya care for a call?
