Church Operations Business

This is the point where we are suppose to figure out things as a group.
This is our every three month general meeting. If we need and election or need to vote on rule changes, this is that everybody meeting for these thing to happen in.
Now or wait till next January.

Is Ranger still with us? Has Ranger resigned? If so, than what shall we do?

Any other things for anyone to talk about?

 

Under the circumstances I think we should postpone our meeting until January, maybe things will fall into place and we have a better prospective.

I motion we close the meeting. Do I have a second?

We have no old business from September to go forward and take care of in November. And If nobody has any new business for a November meeting, than I would like to make a motion that we go ahead and close this Nov meeting and move ahead to opening a December meeting.
A second and a vote of 2 out of 3 and we would be closed and moving on.

I can't wait until the December meeting gets started. I do have a couple of things to discuss. LOL

I second your motion and move to open the Dec. meeting as soon as you explain how we get two out of three votes if there is no third voter. We now have two out of two votes so maybe it's unanimous?

On opening our Dec meeting. I really do think it is time we got the 501 out of the way bc, like I said before. I do not want all the tax notices and all that paperwork.. I was promised that it would be done before tax time. It's been dang near a yrs, so can we either get it done or not do it at all and someone else can do the taxes.

For instance, in a city council meeting if Diane Feinstein was sick the they would still hold the meeting without her. Right?

My point was, if two is a quorum and only two are present you can only have a vote of two out of two. Now Kenny what's the answer to Mary's question on the tax situation?

 

The tax situation? I was hoping to get the next meeting started and have her be here when we talk about that.

Anyhow. She seems to think that we can not file the Corp income tax paper work. From what I read of her question, she seems to believe that we can file for 501c3 and somehow skip doing a tax filing by April 15th.

Surely the Fed would prefer to see a 87 dollar corp income tax filing and then grant the 501 status. Right?
See real paperwork about a corp. Kinda proves that we exist. Don't you think?

So, yeah, I believe 501 file before annual tax return is kind of like putting the cart before the horse. You can remember me trying to push your wheel chair. LOL

Anyhow, if you are a legit corp, you should be filing tax returns. Even if you have noting to report. Like $Zero.
Talking March - April 15. Not Dec 31/Jan 1st.

So, my dearest Kenny, are you say you are volunteering for the job, filing tax paper??

bc it seems like we can't get anything done as far as getting getting ourselves tax free, federally.

The feds are coming after churches and if we don't have our papers in order, well who knows what will happen

If anyone comes looking, they'll be looking for me.
