I would strongly reccomend digging it out, and then begin taking hits out of your piece or joint as soon the movie begins. It's a real treat. A feast for the eyes and the ears, and I don't know how to explain it, but the movie is just pure and perfect for a good high.

i dont realy find classical 'relaxing' all the time. at least not to think to. i get as involved with classical as i do any other sort of music.
id have to say fugue in g minor by bach, and sleepers wake, are the two i listen to the most

thats odd. the first laserdiscs i ever saw were being marketed in the earlier days of dvds, before most people had either. i think it was 5th or 6th grade. i knew a few people that were JUST getting laserdisc systems but then it turned out that dvds were to be more popular and commonly sold, so people got rid of those systems. but whatever you say, i sure don't know much more than what little i remember of them (from about 8 years ago)

yeah, i hear you. i rarely listen to classical music because it's "relaxing" though sometimes i find this to be the case....rather i like it because it's among the most intricate, complex, carefully constructed forms of music there are. its not all good, but the good stuff is some of the most moving, powerful, beautiful music i've ever heard. something that takes quite a bit of attention to really appreciate it. but then think about it - when most of this stuff was written, people didn't have even the simplest recording devices, all you heard was live music....if your only real form of "entertainment" other than religion and games was live music, than the stuff you see in concert halls (rather than simpler folk music) BETTER be god damn breathtaking....

Its been too long since me and my droogies stepped out for a bit of the ol ultraviolence...

Classical is great when stoned. Mozart is amazing, as is Beethoven. Vivaldi has great violin conciertos... Theres so much good music! I can't name them all, and I'll be honest, its been a while since I was more into classical, so a lot have been lost to the shadowy depths of my hazed over memory =P

Speaking of Kubric and Classical, "2001" is AMAZING. Then again, most if not all of Kubrics films have amazing scores, and he loves using classical music, but I think 2001 is by far the showcase of it.

I used to prefer classical music before. I don't listen to it all the time like I used to but I still love it. the last thing I listened to was Chopin's Preludes, one of my favourites. Franz (Ferenc) Liszt is also another of my favourites...and since this is the MJ forum, I will say that classical music gives me an entirely different trip than the Zeppelin, Hendrix or Stones I usually listen to
