“The great physicist Richard Feynman adds to three other giants of physics, Maxwell, Clausius, and Carnot, who have explained the "greenhouse effect" is solely a consequence of gravity, atmospheric mass, pressure, density, and heat capacities, and is not due to "trapped radiation" from IR-active or 'greenhouse' gas concentrations. Only one 33C greenhouse theory can be correct, either the 33C Arrhenius radiative greenhouse theory (the basis of CAGW alarm and climate models) or the 33C Maxwell/Clausius/Carnot/Feynman gravito-thermal greenhouse effect, since if both were true, the surface temperature would be an additional 33C warmer than the present. As we have previously shown, the Arrhenius greenhouse theory confuses the cause (gravito-thermal) with the effect (radiation from greenhouse gases).“ THE HOCKEY SCHTICK: Physicist Richard Feynman proved the Maxwell gravito-thermal greenhouse theory is correct & does not depend upon greenhouse gas concentrations https://www.feynmanlectures.caltech.edu/I_40.html
Pardon me for not making myself clear. You just made a statement, similar to the one you made before: "if Gravity is present you will fall off a cliff if you step off of it. That’s a Law of Physics." This is not correct, nor is it a Law of Physics. The statement," if Gravity is present you will fall off a cliff if you step off of it" is only correct in specific instantaneous. Earth's gravity is about 9.81 meters per second squared at its surface (it does vary from place to place). Due to the Earth's huge mass compared to the mass of a human being, if we consider only the mass of the Earth and the mass of the human, the Earth will always, as far as we presently know, attract a human being as per Newton’s law of universal gravitation. That is a law of physics. However, there may be mitigating circumstances that counteract the law of universal gravitation, such as an updraft of air. In that instance you may not fall off a cliff if you step off of it even though the Earth's gravity is present. I agree there is a debate about climate change, but as of now the data and scientific consensus is that it is changing due to human activity and that it is getting hotter, and hotter is not good for many people, flora, and fauna.
I imagine they landed farther below than they started? They still fell towards the ground. Nice try though. There’s not a single instance where this wouldn't happen. You’re never going to “fall upwards” or float. You obviously know this, and are indeed being pedantic but it’s failing. I imagine your next move will be to nitpick “falling to the ground” vs “falling towards the ground”. Just because something intercepted the fall doesn’t mean they weren’t falling towards the ground. That’s how Newton’s Laws of Motion work.
Sorry this is above my pay scale and appears to be a thought experiment. You can keep on dragging up these alternative theories and explanations, and that's fine but it can go on forever. “For every fact there is an infinity of hypotheses. ” ~ Robert M. Pirsig I'm not going to try and analyze them, that's what climate scientists do. As I'm not a climate scientist I will continue to follow the consensus.
Geez China, are you telling me that wind can't cause people to "fall" upward? People don't have to fall to the ground when stepping off a cliff if conditions are present that counteract gravity. Is that so hard to understand? Gravity can be countered!!! People can "fall" upward without ever previously falling downward in the immediately previous moment. Ever hear of wind picking up people, or cars, or houses? That would be what you call "falling upward", technically outward. I hate to be "pedantic" but facts are facts and you can't seem to understand the basic physical fact that gravity is not the only force in the universe.
I hope you aren't going tot bet a lot of money because I have no idea how to use ChatGPT, although I have heard of it.
Ok just stop calling people who don’t follow the consensus “anti-science” it’s ridiculous. Do you know who Feynman is? I’ve clearly provided SCIENTIFIC alternative theories.
I never said that Gravity is the only force in the Universe. I said that Gravitation is a Law of Physics, which is active at all times, with or without wind. It even holds the planets in orbit. This is very basic stuff dude. You are indeed being pulled to the ground when you step off a cliff, with or without wind. If you feel this isn’t true, then try testing it. Facts are indeed facts. Gravity is not a matter of Probability. Quantum Mechanics is, and so maybe we will one day discover that Quantum Gravity is indeed Probabilistic. But as far as General Relativity is concerned, in the everyday world, Gravity is a Law of Physics. It’s ever-present.
Yeah I know who Feynman is. Sure, a scientific thought experiment that is not accepted by a consensus of climatologists. Maybe someday it will be, maybe not. As I've said alternatives are infinite.
True. I'm not going to argue with that. Never said it was. Sure, that's what I said. But stepping off a cliff and falling to the ground is a probability. The probability is very high, extremely high. But under some circumstances you will not fall to the ground.
Never said it was. What it is an untested hypothesis which is unaccepted as a consensus by climatologists.
The underlying point is that Gravity itself is not a matter of Probability. It’s not waivering. That’s the underlying essence of my point about Laws of Physics.
