The film the day after tomorrow is basically a wake up call not only to america but to the whole planet, global warming IS happening and it IS a major issue. If the ice caps do melt then the sea level could rise by more than 15ft. What would that mean for the low lying parts of the earth like in india the bay of bengal, they will disappear beneath the ocean, thousands dead thousands of communities lost.

Also its not only the ice caps that will be melting glaciers in the himalayers that have fed rivers for centuries and allowed small villages along it to thrive will sone disappear. I heard it on the news a while back its already happening and apparantly irreversible. We can't solve that problem but we can prevent many more if governments will just wake up and realise what is happening to our home.

That film is like JFK ... buying (literaly) into the 'climate change' market .. it might 'basicaly a wake up call' but completly the wrong one to perpetuate imho.

IMHO goverments/industry are the ones doing more than 'joe public' they are fully 'awake' just under the thumb of 'activism' ' and 'i don't rightly give a toss'
