clogged kitchen sink

    Thanks everyone. I am going to try that boiling water thing, and baking soda and vinegar, and if that doesn't work....

    99% of the time you would be right Drano rarely ever works, but New Drano Snake Plus Drain Cleaning kit works great :2thumbsup:

    Call the landlord. I'd take the trap apart under the sink but don't forget to put a bucket under to catch the water.

    Hot water works good!!!

    Toilet recently got clogged and had no plunger, it was the middle of the night and too late to call my super to plunge it so I filled up a 5 gallon bucket with steaming hot water and dumped it down the toilet and all was good. Most of the water was from the tap (which gets like 150 degrees) but I did boil a couple big pots to add to it to make it hotter. I think the hotter is probably more effective.

    If you take off the p trap to clean it out be sure to put a small bucket or something to catch the water in else you'll have a mess

    i would move.

    are plungers really that rare? i thought that was something that everyone owned.
