What a great idea to sell those in sets! I make my own, they are bit different from yours, but it's the same idea . I agree that you feel better with these as opposed to commercial pads/tampons.
The cloth pads are great, I use them mostly at night. You don't have to buy pads or tampons every month and they are really not that hard to wash. I've had mine for a few years now and they still do their thing.
I would want them to be made of raincoat material on the outside...otherwise I'd always be worrying about leak-thrus....but then I'm one of those hemorrage-for-3-days-straight kinda people.
A good way to make them more leak-proof is to make one layer out of canvas or an old baby changing pad or plastic backed bib. I make mine with flannel on the outside and terry cloth in the middle.
