Two Live Crew is the only Rap tape that I own, and only because it was given to me. It's not so much that I got into rap, but they tested limits, and anyone who has balls to do that is O.K. with me. Besides, the shit was so damn funny...."Face down Ass up That's the way we like to fuck"...

They were scheduled to play in Tampa right when that rap came out, and I remember the city council voting on whether the show violated community standards. It made me think...is this how it was with Elvis?

haha, elle, we had similar tastes. humiliating in hindsight, for the most part. i still do like some old hip hop, though i'm generally not fond of the current stuff.

why is it a rule that most middle class white kids have to go through the whole gangsta stage in middle school?

    hmm.. no rap phase ever.

i went thro the new kids on the block phase when i was little..
then a long time period i just listened to whatever was on mtv
then i went thro a country phase in 4 grade for half the year
then i don't remember the next few years.. prolly the mtv thing again
and then i went through an oldies phase
and in 7th grade i listened to blink 182 constantly
and that went into 8th, and then there was a brief teeny bopper stage cause i started hating blink.
then i went back to oldies and now its punk and rock and roll.

You know I forgot to mention Biggie and Tupac. I wanted to marry Tupac in middle school. I was obessed with the "keep ya head up" video.
Ooooh and how could I forget Bone Thugs? I remember (cant remember the person who sang it) but that song "whoop there it is!" In middle school kids would be singing it in the hallways. You were not cool unless you liked that song!!!!
