oasis is the biggest beatle ripoff Ive ever heard, and yes I am being serious. if you cant see this, then you are deaf and blind, my friend.

and the most popular band of the last 11 years?? dont make me laugh...... I think radiohead is probably quite a bit more popular, even in the so-called glory years of oasis, lets say 94-96.

 

In Europe during the mid 90's Oasis were the most popular act.

 

Rolling Stones and Aerosmith

I think Aerosmith blows them away...BUT not currently...Aerosmith's Just Push Play record (or should we say Just Push Eject) BIT THE WAD and THEN SOME....there latest album Honkin' On Bob is great though...

 

so then where are all of oasis' songs about love? where are the multitudes of songs about girls? where is the experimentalism of Revolver and all the albums that followed? where's the humility of the beatles? where's the hair? the clothes?

radiohead couldnt wave a candle at oasis. (What's the Story) Morning Glory was in the UK top-30 albums list this past May, an entire decade after it was released.

maybe you should actually listen to oasis and read about them before you say anything about the band.

Im not talking about image. or the lyrics....

the majority of their songs, mainly the hits, are blatant copies of beatles hits. mainly the sound........ and sometimes the lyrics.

and maybe I should listen to oasis?????? give me a fuckin break. I had whats the story morning glory (in 95 or 96, or whenever that album came out), before someone stole it from me... my brother had definitely maybe which I listened to quite a bit...... and Ive heard the majority of the songs from the album after morning glory. what all do you want?? I guess I should get every fuckin oasis album before I make some kind of opinion on them, I guess. whatever. I think I heard enough of them. they make me sick. period.

and read about them?? I read about them when fuckin noel gallagher started shit with george harrison....... nothing like biting the hand that fed him...... also, I think it was liam who called paul mccartney names too....... fuck em. I like to see where oasis's music is in 40 years.

Aerosmith had their times of greatness in the 70's but they never could be greater than the Stones. Aerosmith is influenced by the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin.

 

I'm with soulrebel51 on this, Oasis is a great band. I don't care if they ripped off the Beatles or not, I just like the music.
