You need to cut this man loose you dont need all his problems and baggage. You're paying for his cigarettes/booze and driving his ass all over town? You're only 19 years old and will have so many men walk through your life and one day you will find one to settle down with. Do not settle down with a man like this your life will be spent running after him cleaning up his mess. In my experience I start to feel numb when I stop caring. It's time to go your separate ways. He obviously needs you to buy his cigarettes and to provide him a job and a car and to help take care of his kid. Doesn't sound like you need him or any of his problems. He's pretty dependent on you so he won't go quietly but be firm & tough. Good luck to you.
this topic is beyond old lol Things are swell, don't worry We talked lots since then, and things are much much much better
People & situations don't change so easily. I don't know how old he is but problems like this rarely go away. In any event best of luck to you.
I think she means the topic is really old...if everyone would just look at the date of this thread, I believe it was first started in August (it's now almost May). I would certainly hope things have changed by now! Anyway, glad to hear things are better for you two, Apples!
Thank you Lotus Yes, things are heaps better, he will be off probation in a couple of months, he's getting his license back in a couple of weeks, has a job now, is paying off his child support, and yes... things are just much better. After he has all of that taken care of and all the little loose ends tied up, we're going to open a joint savings account together to save up to move out together, FINALLY--and for our wedding, etc. His attitude towards everything is much better... And, I believe that our communications skills are improving lots, and opening up. He's been in counseling, and I think it's helping...he's just a much more positive person now. I'm very confident that things will be okay, Jennasia.... He's only turning 20 now, so I think that gives him quite a bit of room to grow up and improve.
Great for you two, and congratulations on your upcoming wedding and new life together. Love and luck for the both of you.
