I got off of work early what what! I had a total of 4 customers throughout the day, so my boss just told me to close up and go home. It's probably gonna be like that tomorrow, too..

 

i LOVE when shit like that happens. i used to/am going to work at an ice cream place as well... and i fucking love it when they close early.

that never happens at the pharmacy, because our business doesn't exactly depend on nice weather haha

But yeah, "weather rules" is the saying up there.. and it's true. It was cold and rainy and there was really nobody in sight today at the park.

 

it's really like the best feeling ever when they say to go home early. we don't ever close like super early, but in the summer the normal close time is 10 but if it's raining we'll go home at like 9.

 

Hell, going home at any time is just awesome! Haha
We usually close around 8, but it was like 5:30 and he told me to leave.
I am getting paid for sitting around and reading books hahah. It's gonna be super busy though once it starts getting really hot out. I guess I gotta enjoy it while I can!

 

damn you're lucky, the owner of the place i work at is a fucking NAZI. you always have to be doing something, cleaning or helping a customer or whatever. no standing around or he'll supremely bitch at you

That's how my previous boss was. And he wouldn't even let us request days off!!! He said we get ONE day that we can request off and that was it. Well I said fuck that and actually just called off a day so I could go to a Jack Johnson concert and he fired me hahah. I bitched that asshole out.

My boss's now are cool as hell.

 

Isn't that just a great feeling? Haha

Slightly reduced by the fact that this was supposed to be my night off, but oh well..

 

Eh... lame. If I have days off and I see that my works calling me, I don't answer haha.

 

lol wtf how can you not someone request off? especially at a god damn ice cream place.... i mean it's not like someone's life is in jeopardy (like if you were a brain surgeon) if you request time off in advance

 

It wasn't at the ice cream place I'm at now.. It was at the fruit stand I worked at last summer.. which is even more ridiculous because wtf.. someone can obviously take my shift and it's just stupid anyway...
He's a fuckin asshole, and just an all around idiot.

 

Well it's all good, I get tuesday night off in lieu, which I'm pretty happy about 'cos I can trip on acid and fuck all day without worrying about coming down when I'm at work
