Yea I've been pushing carts around in the hot sun all day without anything to drink, I just downed 2 big glasses of water, a big glass of iced tea and a Sierra mist. At least in the employees lounge the pop costs 35 cents haha

I suggest that anyone here who's having an intense fever does not make firecrackers before going to bed. They somewhat helped me sleep, but when I woke up, my mouth was completely dry. The tip of my tongue has been fucked up for the whole day, haha

By the way, where do you work Weedwhacker?

7 hours shifts aren't that bad and are actually pretty short. lol Imagine working 10-12 hour shifts 6 days per week, and sometimes 14 hour shifts. That shit sucks. haha

i think my worst week of work was at my old job and a bunch of people got fired while a couple other were on vacation so they had me working 730am-8pm for 5 days straight...it sucked but the paycheck was glorious haha

I'm working at a grocery store, mostly as a bagger. I probably bagged for 6 hours today, and the rest was spent bringing the carts in from the lot.

I can't decide which of the two is worse, bagging seems to make the time go by faster but its SO boring after an hour of standing in the same spot saying the same stuff to different people. Then of course there's the occasional asshole you have to deal with. Today some lady had a huge amount of groceries, so I bagged them all up in plastic while she was paying. As soon as I finished she looked up at me and said "Oh I didn't want you to sack those in plastic, I have my own bags! They're eco-friendly!" and pulls out a bunch of reuseable bags. She then made me take all of her shit out and re-sack them, and didn't even tip me. WTF

Cashiers or anything dealing with checkouts suck dick. I wouldn't refuse a cashiering job, but I'm not looking for it.

I'm actually not looking for a job at all, but that's besides the point...I probably should be :\

    Fuck it

I seriously wanted to SO badly. Fuck those re-usable bags, if anyone here use them please stop, they're really hard to sack since they aren't stable and flop all over the place

Good thing you don't work at the grocery store near my house then.
They started charging 5 cents per plastic bag that you use, so now almost everyone is taking re-usable bags with them.

I do use re-useable bags though, do they really hate them that much?

They're alright unless the bottom plastic square thingy is gone, without that they're really hard to work with. I'm not sure if people take them out or if they fall out, but 90% of the time people will hand me bags without that essential piece of plastic. I then have to use my arm to hold it open to get enough items in there before it just caves in... no fun

wow... those people won't pay the extra 5 cents to help a poor bagger out :(

Seriously, we baggers love when people use plastic. Paper is alright too, but double paper sucks serious ass, and the worst is either paper inside plastic or re-usable bags

Why do people want paper inside plastic? I never fully understood that
