How many of these does Russia have ??? against the UK's latest battle tank - the Russians would roll over them and not even feel the bump !!!

Tanks or mobile artillery, Russia has many more of them than the UK and would rollright over the British Army and spit the bones out as they did so.

Another area of possible conflict is the Black Sea

Russia has 5 very modern Amphibious ships designed to start shore assault with Odessa likely being the Target . These are protected normally by a flotilla of support ships such as Frigates and missile ships .

With these in attendance will mean a lot of ships in the Black Sea blocking the routes of Cargo ships of various countries .

Already an Estonian Cargo ship has been hit in a crossfire and sunk . Thankfully no casualties .

An area to watch as the Crisis moves on .

Making firm predictions on the basis of decades past behavior is risky. The United States isn't really the same country it was in the fifties and sixties. Did we ever have a phenomenon like Trump back then? His love of Putin is palpable, and incredibly he has supporters like Mike Pompeo, Fox news, and the disgusting prick Tucker Carlson, U.S.Reps. Majorie Taylor Greene and Paul Gosar, who recently attended a white nationalist rally where cheers of Putin! Putin! reverberated. There may not be a world war, cuz with fifth columnists like this, Putin won't need one. May be the U.S. Civil War is a more apt historical analogy. On the other hand, he may be overly emboldened by signs of our weakness, and make a rash move that could snap us to our senses.

I do see where you are coming from

With Putin though ,he has already made things clear ,he wants Russia to have an empire again and have more respect in the world order . He sees Nato has a threat . He has already hinted its not going to stop here .All these have been covered in the news media both Russian and the West .

There is a pattern that the West has largely ignored some of these before Putin's time in office . The seed was sewn before he came to power in 2000.

    First Chechen War 1994-96
    Second Chechen War 1999-2000
    Russo Georgian War 2008-2009
    Annexation of Crimea 2014
Russo Ukrainian War - 2014-16 This has still been ongoing with Russia occupying areas of the Donbas Region . These are areas loyal to Russia and are Russian speaking . A cease fire commenced in 2016 but was never fully observed with 15000 Ukrainian casualties and a questionable number of Russian Separatists. and regular troop casualties .
    Ukrainian Invasion 2022- On going

Vulnerable countries that could be on his list Georgia ( yet again ) ,Moldova ( poor small independent country with a Russian speaking area ) Kazakhstan,in the east .

By "our" you mean UK? The Russian military performance so far has been less than spectacular--not exactly a Blitzkrieg! And of course the UK has friends who, together, would be more than a match--unless, of course,Trump is the Prez.

Creep over them, maybe, if the progress of the Russian convoy is an indication.

Oh another 'little englander' !!! - ask yourself why the Russians are not exactly flattening everything in their path ??? - the answer is that they don't want a ruined land to occupy. The uk is different however, there is nothing here that the Russians want or need and therefore, like I said previously could take and occupy this country without breaking into sweat. You probably know that, but won't admit it to yourself.

I do like the little rear view mirrors. Seems they should also have some sort of 360 degree video monitoring capabilities, along with the radar, sonar, etc.

    Or do they?

No, I'm an Okie. USA. Russia has a GDP about one-tenth the size of the U.S.--in fact smaller than that of our state of Texas. The combined active military force of NATO is 3.2 million (42% U.S)., compared to Russia's 1 million strong active military force. The NATO's total military alliance has 6.1 million troops, double that of Russia's 3.5 million troops is about twice that of Russia's, with over 3.5 times more airplanes and twice as many war vessels. We're about evenly matched in nuclear warheads. Which leaves those tanks, where Russia does hold a distinctive advantage in numbers.NATO vs Russia Military Comparison Of course the size of the dog in the fight might not matter as much as the size of the fight in the dog. So far, the Russian "dogs" have yet to prove themselves; so far, some seem to lack enthusiasm for this venture.

As for Russia's desire to preserve the land for occupation purposes, the prospect of the Russian army occupying a hostile country of about 43 million people might be daunting for Putin. Dobbins et al (2007) The Beginners Guide to Nation Building estimate that an average force ratio of 13 troops per thousand population is needed for such an undertaking. Russia has 4 troops per thousand Ukrainians. Holding Ukraine should keep them busy for quite awhile. I suspect his plan is to cripple Ukraine to the point it will be a basket case like Chechnya or Aleppo--too weak for NATO to take in or to be a threat to Russia. And of course hold out for a few years until the Donald and his army of Q and MAGA Fifth CoIumnists take over the U.S again. t might work--but at what cost?! Vlad the Destroyer!

    Yes

This is the imaging equipment of British Challenger 2 Tank . Its capable of night vision as well. 360 degree capability. The box on the far right with the Rat symbol is the TOGS Thermal Observation Gunnery Sight . The Tank Commander can see everything around him .

Not really but we are in a fluid situation and if you read back I have placed different scenarios where there could be a possibility albeit slight.

What bastard Planet are you on Vlad?
    Not this one.
    That’s for sure!
I don’t know what news you are looking at Vlad.
But on television there are constant photographs of Putin bombing using aircraft and sending missiles and cluster bombs and God knows what as he grinds remorselessly on to Kiev.

On the ground in Kyiv: Citizens flee as Russia bombs the city
Ukrainians fled burning buildings, helped neighbors and watched firefighters flight blazes caused by Russian missiles.
