    There were many aspects to the "Counter Culture" movement that are not readily apparent. The '60s movement in my opinion started with the death of JFK and lasted until it started to decline in '74. It ended when John Lennon wrote:

    "The dream is over what can I say? The dream is over yesterday"

    ...and then was killed.

    O great...they're talking about a "Conservative Counter-Culture" in the 2000's in the U.S.

    its now called the "counter culture" cuz so many hippies and bohemians have gotten rich off their ideas and music that they are counting their dollars
