I had a neighbor that fell from her 5th floor balcony (she was watering her plants), and she survived: She landed in the branches of an elm tree.

A bear ransacked our campsite while we were sleeping.
It rained so bad the next day that it flooded the tents and six of us slept in a stationwagon.

My aunt was shot in the face over drugs. Her boyfriend was tried and found innocent.

I climbed the sea brite wall during the worst noreaster ever. (If you dont know the wall. It was in the episode of the sopranos when he buys the boat and blasts music to annoy a guy who lived there)

When i delivered for dominos my car was leaking stearing fluid i had no defroster. A car splashed a puddle on my window and it froze instantly i put on my wipers and the wiper flew off into someones yard. I had to finish that order with my head out the side window. My last delivery was to a strip joint. I drove back to the store and stalled as i entered the lot. I didnt even press the break it just rolled right to my spot and slowly rolled to a stop as if it knew when to stop rolling. That car never started again.

    Speaking of bears ^^^^

there was about 15-20 of us on a house boat and while it was up on shore one night a big mama black bear actually came onto it and started going through the trash and one of our friends woke up and in only his boxers started banging pans together and yelling at it and it ran off the boat back into the mountains. it was lulzy.

These 2 "crazy shit" things keep coming to mind: The man (doctor) who built and lived in the home I live in died here...overdosed. I think it was intentional, but of course nobody really knows (now) as it was in the 50's. However, I never knew it - despite asking my mother MANY times what happened to him. I thought he moved away...but I only found this out in 2010 from a customer that came to the diner where I worked then.

My son bought a house that the previous owner had a heart attack in and died there. The man contracted to have the house built, and died 2 days before his insurance from his new job kicked in. (My son didn't find all of this out until he had already decided to buy the house and signed papers.)

Story #1 - When my son turned 18, my husband (my son's stepfather) and I took him and some friends to a steak house for his birthday.

My husband was meeting some of the guys for the first time. He began talking to Bret, whom he had heard lots about but never met.

My husband asked Bret's what his last name was and told Bret that his Aunt had the same last name.

Hubby stated his aunt's full name.

Bret said that was also his grandmother's name.

My husband's mother and Bret's grandmother were sisters!

So, as it turns out, one of my son's very best friends is my husband's 2nd cousin.

Story #2 - I'll set this up by saying that my husband and I have an open marriage.

One night, shortly after my husband and my boyfriend had met, they had a conversation about Vodka.

My husband told how his grandfather was from Russia.

My boyfriend told about how his ex-wife's great grandfather was also from Russia.

They both said the man they were speaking about was from St. Petersburg, Russia.

My husband told his grandfather's name.

My boyfriend told his ex-wife's great grand father's name.

    They were the same man!

My boyfriend's ex-wife is my husband's cousin's daughter (making her my husband's 2nd cousin); so it turned out that my boyfriend's daughter is my husband's 3rd cousin.

When we were kids, we went out somewhere with my parents and when we came home Dad pulled in the driveway and drove right through the garage door. Apparently the car had bad breaks. We kids, sitting in the back, thought it was great fun (these are the days long before seat belts) . My Mom, in the front seat, was furious. I still wonder if any of the neighbors were watching. :driving:

aeri, reminded me of my biggest family story.

one day i was on aol when i first got internet. my screen name was my last name. someone im'ed me and asked if i knew ronald. i played it off not answering but she kept asking questions so i said "why do you want my father?" well she told me in great detail how they were cousins and best friends and all this other stuff. some of it didnt make sense because of the age difference but i didnt know her age for sure so i didnt say anything about it. i was pretty drunk that night so i saved the whole conversation knowing it would be interesting later. after i looked at it sober i knew that she was way to young to be my dads cousin. so i right her back and tell her so. she knew right away the misunderstanding was that she was talking about my half brother and not my father. that exact moment was when i found out i had a brother i never knew about. the first thing that popped in my head was (ohhhh thats why im not a ronald junior, because there already was one.) the second thing was that i had to call my mom and tell her. she just said "oh yeah i knew about him but he isnt really your brother because you have different mothers."
that just baffled me that i went over 25 years and never heard that i had a half brother. my sister was just about 30 at that time and it was the first she heard of it. and we would have never known at all if it wasnt for my cousin (who like most of my fathers side i never knew) searching for him.

I contacted him he never returned any calls. It seems as though he wants nothing to do with that side of the family. Our aunt tried to contact him and she was like a mother to him and he ignored her.

I have 4, but not interesting as airplane crash in the house!

    1) I fall from very huge tree when I was little (age 8-9), when the tree branch broke. My coat hood caught me on another tree branch, and stop me from the fall, maybe saved my life. 2 boys climbed the tree help me, we are still friends!

    2) Taking photographs of abandoned hospital with 2 friends, we found a dead person in the basement. We went to police, so they return to hospital with us. This dead person was a dummy (mannequin?), in clothing!

    3) My grandfather had 7 items from his time at battle in Berlin, 1945. 1 item was book of hunting, signed from Hermann Goering.

    4) I met a person on a train from Kiev, inspecting his passport. I only did remember him for such nervous behavior. Weeks after it, I went to my friends hostel, and met with this same person! We are still friends! ))

my aunt was backpacking through Europe when she was pretty young and stopped was in Ireland, and found herself in a town she remembered hearing about as being part of our family history. she decided to stop the first woman she saw to ask if she had heard at all about such and such relative on the off chance that person was still alive/around.

the woman she asked was who she was looking for

they had a nice evening, i guess

I once got stuck in traffic beside a friend of mine somewhere in Virginia., hundreds of miles from home. We were both headed to upstate New York but neither of us knew the other had the trip planned. It was random. We made funny faces at each other in traffic for a while.

my mom and dad were hit by a train. they lived.

i don't know the full details, but i guess they were picking berries, my mom got stung, things got panicky (she's not allergic). it was a railroad crossing kinda in the woods, not marked. not sure how they ended up with their car sitting on the train tracks, but...never had the balls to ask either.

there's this photo of my dad in the hospital with most of his teeth knocked out, his face mostly one big purple bruise and with THE BIGGEST FUCKING SMILE ON HIS FACE
