agreed. i have no time or patience for that! if you do, then awesome, your dreads look great...but i like how my dreads are crazy and weird and not uniform at all.
i know this...like i said, this demo was for people who are interested in crocheting and still have the ability to do so, or are just curious as to the process...people can take it or leave it. it's not posted so that people HAVE to do it.
i would consider doing it to the base of my dreads at at the back just because i have a lot of loose hairs there, but i don't know if i will. good tute though.
this is to SoaringEagle - you say after 11 months the dreads will be impermeable (or really intense) so does that mean 11 months after stopping combing/trimming and with seperating and bronners or 11 months after back combing? Cause i have back combed some sections that are only 2 months old and already close to impermeable, but left other sections to do their own natural formation thing. what is the 11 month comment aimed at?
good question. i was wondering that myself. i assumed it was directed towards me, because i am at 11 months now. but even at 11 months, some of my dreads are very solid and some are hard but softer in certain areas (in which case i am still able to crochet any loose hairs if need be).
I'm at around 6 months and this crochet technique of yours looks pretty helpful. some of my dreads are just too skinny. I like fat dreads, what can I say? mmmmmm
haha i know what you mean. i LOVE fat dreads. i joined a few of my skinny dreads to make one and they eventually came together into some nice fatties! good luck.
