crop cirlces are simple layout with skilled execution. as a machinist dealing w/ complex forms and precision tolerances and as a fan of graffiti writing its easy to see how a small group of skilled and determined individuals could pull of such a stunt overnight fail safe. my hat is off to them.
The problem with discussing the complexity of crop circles, and if complex e.gs could be made overnight, is that: Most of the time we only see them from the air - they could look awful from the ground. We rarely know the timeline of each complex design - they could have been done over a period of time with the fields owners consent. Generally they turn out to be flawed. If there was on crop circle that was large, complex, featured perfection from the ground (uniformity and exact displacement and interlocking of corn)...and was done in an independently verified short space of time (I'll let them have 6 hours for it to appear) ...I'd be pretty impressed.
How much wheat could 10 people press down in 10 hours if they planed it all out months ahead of time? If the average person can walk a mile in 15-20 mins, then they can walk 40-30 miles in 10 hours. And if they are stepping with 2x4s against wheat witch will slow them down say it takes them 30 mins to walk a mile. So 20 miles in 10 hours. But they are gonna get tired so they take a 1 hour break twice during the 10 hours. so they are walking a total of 16 miles in 10 hours. If 10 people are each walking 16 miles, stomping wheat while following a pattern they could potentially make several crop designs in a night. or destroy a whole fuckin field of wheat. If its the designs that you think are impossible to make then you are really under estimating people. Its all simple math.
http://www.ukcropcircles.co.uk/images/cropcircles/209/full/tn_DSC_0262.JPG its not just about press wheat down , its worked precisely all that shadow effects u see in the plain pictures , wheat must be worked not just lay it down and its done...
It's the aliens! We need border patrol asap... But in all seriousness, I do believe that while some if not mosst circles are man made, there are legitimate crop circles that aren't made by a few kids with boards. I'll try to find it (no guarantee), but there was one where every corn stalk was burnt above a certain node, with no heat damage below that node... How would kids back in the 80's have made circles with perfect dirrection and geometric patterns, without disturbing other plants, without the technology we have nowadays? Very, very hard to do, especially within half of a day, but it can be done... Many are made by a few kids with boards and advanced microwave technology and metal splinters that are shot out of an invented machine with precision accuracy, but others I'm convinced must have a different explanation.
