I really don't care that you are a nurse. It means nothing to me. What IS important is that you decided to take this conversation in a NEGATIVE direction. I clearly prompted my statement by saying that I DID NOT WANT TO STIR SHIT UP. Yet you use very subversive language to frankly 'stir shit up' claiming that since you are a nurse (which means you took one or two lower level courses in pharmacology...) gives you credence.

Well, actually I know a HELL of a lot about psychopharmacology and I will freely argue with you for the next month in this thread if you really want to. I have many books to cite and tons of journal articles to cite.

Let me say THIS however: I am not supporting smoking or snorting pills. But there is NOTHING inferior about taking pills orally for "fun" than taking non-pharm drugs.

I just want to know: WHY did you choose to turn this topic negative? Do you just like to stir up shit and piss people off? Seriously? Just wondering!

I have a Master's Degree in Pharmacology - but apparently y'all know WAY more about pharms and what's good for your bodies (cause you have books and stuff right? )
If you call stating the blatantly obvious truth "stirring up shit and pissing people off" then yes, I suppose I prefer that honesty over discussing "fun" ways to poison myself.

Okay. Let's go! I want to dig as deep as you want to into the subject, then! Let's use our joint knowledge in Psychopharmacology to battle this stupid fucking shit out, then! Where do you want to start? I'll let you choose the topic (of course, staying on general topic which seems to be Abusing Pharmaceuticals is Inherently Inferior to Abusing Non-Pharmaceuticals). I am a very rational person and can argue a topic professionally.

So, what is topic Number One?

Kearne, this is a fucking troll. If we don't feed it, maybe it will go away.

Hmmm...You know, I am really not sure "what" this person is. After I wrote that very strong, direct response, I began thinking to myself "Who exactly is this person?" and "Do they really have a Master's in Pharmacology yet work as a nurse?" So some of the information about this person is kind of shady.

However, I don't think they are a troll. After all, they have a large, personal avatar, which, from what I understand, requires you to make a donation to the website. I have been an active member for years, but I have never been able to donate (since I live on the edge of financial turmoil haha) and still have my "smart ass-y" avatar.

I think, however, that they may be someone who came to this forum with some kind of mission: They want to try to "convert" us "dirty" pharmaceutical drug users away from our "evil" habits. That wouldn't surprise me, honestly. I have encountered such people before. And I NEVER get along with them!

And, you and all of the regulars in the Psychedelics, Opiates, Pharms, etc. subforums all know that I get along with pretty much EVERY ONE! You all know that I have a balanced head on my shoulders and always want to help people. That is why I am going to try to not let my temper get the best of me with this "person".

Basically, I don't want MY good repuation to suffer because of getting into "flame wars" with this member.

HOWEVER, I will engage in ONE very serious debate with this person in this thread, like I eluded to above. If, indeed, she has a Master's in Pharmacology, we should be able to argue this question "Are 'natural' drugs superior to pharmaceutical drugs for use in recreation?" in a mature and very scientific way. I may not have a degree in the subject, but I HAVE done graduate-school research into Pharmacological Mathematical Modeling and it is my biggest hobby (besides playing bass) and I honestly think I probably DO know as much on the subject as a person with that degree. But I really don't believe she actually has that degree.

So, anyways, I open the floor up for her to make her first claim in the debate. I expect, since, after-all, we are both scientists (her a pharmacologist and me a mathematician [my actual degree]) that we adhere to professional debate structure. I propose that she make a "claim" and then that I make a "counter-claim", then I make a "claim", and she "counter". We can go back and forth three times and then present concluding remarks. And, of course, I expect all of you friends of mine to chime in! After all, you might know the pharmacology of the drugs, but UNLESS YOU TAKE THEM, your education is not particularly useful!!

just take the benzos orally don't even mess around with the nose because they are not water soluble. you will have a terrible drip and maybe feel about 25% of what you would taking it orally.

Kearne, I don't think this person wants to engage in any kind of debate. She merely wants to express her scorn and inherent "superiority" to what she seems to perceive as "lowlifes". You and I are both prescribed these pharmaceuticals for legitimate reasons, and if we happen to enjoy their effects, so what? Well, if she comes back and jumps on me for calling her a troll, fuck it, I won't even respond. She's not worth it.

Yeah, back in the day I would have just picked this shit apart, but I am not even going to waste time on people like that anymore.

Obviously a very unhappy person who wants to make others feel the same. I recommend this thread be closed before any more outbursts, as the OP questions have already been answered.

A master's degree is required to be a nurse practitioner and if I was planning on spending my free time trolling strangers online by saying I had a master's degree in pharm I could find many, less astute places and people to troll for the lulz.

Now as to the question as to which I feel are the lesser evils between pharm and non pharm... Abuse is abuse and although subjective, everyone knows what "abuse" is.
Anyone can compare statistics (unless you don't believe in them) and see that there are far more fatalities related to misuse and abuse of pharm products compared to non- pharm products - so I'm not quite sure what you're trying to debate here.

Obviously, our Nurse Practitioner doesn't actually want to debate me. It is clearly not "austere" enough of a forum. GET OUTTA HERE! (said in my most Mafioso esque voice...)

I say, mods, please close this thread. It has gone way off topic.

Did you know that exercising is good for you. Did you know that if you exercise too much its bad for you? If I enjoy exercising but maintain my daily routine am I a bad person? If I decide to exercise a little more than usual is it ok?

    Go Die Troll :)
