I don't church up my posts and put it plain and simple. I come off as an asshole, But I am one and come off on here is one too. You call it a rant, Its just a assholes opinion.

I love my country, But I also know we will destroy their country. As mentioned, Agg related business that we will corner them into 'hybrid' seed companies to try 'new' mutated seed that will harm that part.

We will kill it with tourism. They have a lot of nice places and IMO if you want to go, Fly to another country and then fly in. Keeps it from a tourist trap.
New Orleans was mentioned and I have been there a couple times and will go back in the spring. Its over run with panhandlers, bums, drunks, etc that all sit and try and scam money. They have great paying jobs and do it for tax free money that nets 20k +/- a year depending on how much you do it.
Yes, Some need to do it to get by, But I watched a guy whom I did talk with, Get into a BMW that panhandling paid his payment and then some.

They want to be a communist country, Let them. We stick our noses in too many places and fuck them up as mentioned above. We will pimp them all day long about how 'glorious' our way of life is, Then deal them from the bottom of the deck.

They also harbored missiles and was content and supportive of shooting them at us. You're life was threated if old enough and lived there at that time, I guess you 'forgive and forget' far too easier than I do when it comes to any American life. Dem/lib, Black/white/Brown are still Americans and hurt one, Payback time.
Like mentioned, Germany, Japan and Italy, Look what happened when they threaded our way of life? Too Germany by hand and force, Japs with troops and a couple mushroom clouds and Italy was just blip.
We are capable of doing that again and again. They might have the numbers, We have a shit ton of very skilled troops and the firepower they need.

What I did for money, For awhile I worked at a warehouse that housed a lot of case corp items and every nut and bolt as they 'outsourced them'. I also had a shop for off road rigs that I would build at the dealership my family owned.
I went on my own and made great cash money. I quit the warehouse as it was tripping over a dollar to pick up a dime. That lasted until the economy went into the shitter. Many bought jeeps thinking they were cheap on gas and lifted them. Not too practical to DD on 35" tires although I did for years.

I learned auto body as a kid and went back to school to get 'up to date' with all the new BS the EPA 'wants'. I wanted to be able to restore my own cars, Fix my own wrecks and be savvy with up to date machines, Paint guns and paint(s).
What I do now, Is really none of anybody's concern and im perfectly happy in the position im in and how things are going. Nothing illegal, But the money made, It should be.
I hope that somewhat answers you're question on what I do. Never took out credit cards, Just student accompanied money. I pay in and deal in cash only, Always have and always will.

Not sure much will come of this. The right-wingers/repubs will more than likely shoot anything down Obama proposes-- because that's what they do. However, if Cuba opens itself to 'business as usual', those who will benefit will BE the usual suspects that always seem to end up with most of the power and money wherever they choose to begin the

resource extraction. Would the Cubans still get free medical? Free education? Don't think so. That would be inimical to the hardcore -get all you can, any way you can from

anyone you can while genuflecting at the "alter" of Randism. Be interesting to see if the Castro brothers will/would allow capitalist expansion. If they do, they'll soon learn how the big boys play. Well, re-learn. Somoza and the Mafia taught them a thing or two back in the day.

I suppose the Cuban people will/would be as hooked on plastic bullshit as we are.

Fortunately, Obama can order the State Department to re-establish diplomatic relations without congressional approval, including new embassies in Havana and Washington. That's huge. Also, Obama can tell other countries that he won't take action against them for increasing trade with Cuba. The big winners will be the impoverished and isolated Cuban people.

Not all serious news in the world is bad all the time. Merry Christmas, Cuba.

Most of the travel restrictions end tomorrow! American airlines can fly there directly. We can use our credit cards there, and bring back up to $100 worth of rum and cigars.

I heard something about internet access too, but I don't understand the details. Apparently, getting online access for American travelers in Cuba is somehow going to improve access for Cubans, to some degree. This could be a very important development for them.

With banking ties between the countries restored, Cuban farmers are eager to buy certain agricultural commodities from US farmers.

Oh you know those Monsanto people are all over that shit.

The thing is, Cuba has been doing their own genetic engineering. The difference is, because they are a socialist country, their advances are not driven by profit and they have been aiming their bioengineering at a more sustainable model, as opposed to our system thats drives biotech towards profit based, ecologically unsustainable models. The people of Cuba aren't aware the dark side of GMO's for profit the way we are.

    Great article http://theava.com/04/0121-gmo.html
"During the Soviet era, Cuba imported huge amounts of petroleum-based fertilizer and pesticides, not to mention heavy machinery and plenty of gas, in order to produce sugar for export to Soviet-bloc countries at five times the market rate. In 1989 it all came crashing down. Castro responded by launching the National Food Program, which promotes low-input, sustainable agriculture. Farms got smaller, crops diversified, pesticides were replaced with "integrated pest management," and fertilizers were chucked in favor of nitrogen-fixing bacteria. Throughout this transformation, genetic engineering has been viewed as simply one more scientific tool for replacing large-scale, monocultural agribusiness with locally-oriented, earth-friendly farming."

"Already Cuba has developed tilapia fish for increased growth, which means more food for hungry Cubans. Havana's Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology is also testing a variety of genetically altered crops, such as potatoes, corn, rice, tomatoes, papaya, etc., which have been designed to increase resistance to fungal and viral infections as well as to insects and herbicides. Will genes from these crops take to the wind and contaminate nearby fields full of wild plants? Who cares? Cubans need food, and they're not terribly concerned with ecological niceties."
"When an interviewer with Monsanto Monitor asked a Cuban geneticist if he would ever sell out to US financial interests, he replied, "Cuba is more important than money." Unlike US biotech firms, Cuban research is not geared toward profits. It really is about the food (and medicine)."

Castro wasnt born yesterday. American presidents were shaking hands with numerous world leaders and soon slit their throats or whatever. Hussein, Qaddafi, bin Laden and others.

Obummers got this dim idea that it can pull Cuba away from Russia, and then park a load of nukes on Russia's Western flank.
What Obummer hasn't thought is i)Castro knows the agenda - ie revolution and a US puppet. ii)Cuba isnt that important to Russia or China these days. Because much of Latin America is falling away from America. Just like America parks its arms in E Europe and nr China, Russia/China can park theirs in Central America and plough thro Mexico in next to no time. Or just use any of several Carribean countries.

Ofcourse WW3 is unlikely to happen. But certain idiots cant stop being opportunist tho.

    Yawn....

The only one thats "bizarre" mate is yourself.

America has an appalling history of actions against its neighbours, and even against those living WITHIN its own borders.

Cubans won't believe the "turning over a new leaf" routine. And neither will anyone else in the informed world.

Why did Obummer try this tactic again? Ahh yes, he was caught out with his planned undercover revolt routine..
