Cuckholding

I think some folks are confusing 'cuckolding' - the OP's question with swinging e.g. sharing one or both of you with other people...

Cuckolding is not about issues of "do I want to watch my wife have sex with another man" - you have to get that stuff well outta the way before thinking about cuckolding. If you're the right type and can do that then cuckolding is an 'add-on' to swinging you can choose to indulge or not.

Cuckolding is really about handing over all (or some) control of your wife's sexuality to another man, it's about removing the "doing it together darling" bit from your swinging and giving her the freedom to roam more unchecked. It tends to lead to one (other) man taking more control of her - he'll fuck her when he feels like it, she may deny her husband sex, or at least control what he has and how/when - often informed by what her other man prefers. Sometimes it may involve the cuckolded husband also performing sexual acts on the 'other' man - if invited/instructed to do so.

To cope with seeing ones wife take a load from another man takes a specific kind of guy (and it can be hotter than all hell), but to have her come home carrying a load and just be told to take the trash out, or told all about it in detail takes it to a new level and not for all.

It has a darker twist to it - some guys enjoy the woman become sexually dominant and emancipated in this way - many would just freak out.

So swinging is a jump, but true cuckolding is a mighty big leap.
