Damn Phish...

Soooooooo....when's the runion tour, boys? :H

 

By the sounds of what Trey said in Guitar World 10/04 there isnt going to be one. I bet somewehre down the road they will do one final tour to bring the magic back but who knows?? If they do then ill be there for sure, if not then thats too bad.

My guess is they'll play together again, but it'll probably be 5+ years. A big question is, would it be novelty or the real thing? Vida Blue, Pork Tornado, and the Trey band are all ok. Mike's solo album is actually pretty good. But none of it compares to what the four of them could do together. I miss Phish dearly. Surely something better than the current crop of side projects can come out of this. I'm wondering, what do y'all think about a new band with Page, Mike, Fish and a new gutarist. One thought is Warren Haynes (hardest working man in show business), but a few others come to mind. Any thoughts? (To be clear, I'm not thinking about Phish with a new guitarist. I'm thinking about a whole new band.)

Trey is pretty hard to replace because his vocals and guitar style is so different. Warren Haynes would tear it up tho i must admit. Also, Vida Blue with Page kicks ass. Yeah the side projects really wont compare to Phish at all, but it will be interesting to see how everything plays out.

 

i started listening to phish like a week before they announced they were breaking up so i never got to go to ONE concert!!!

That does suck, I'm sorry dude. But perhaps you'll get to go to 1 show...

 

Ok... Mabye ya'll haven't seen Vida, JMP or Trey live because they all kick some serious ass! Give them some time to develop and write more songs but I am very excited about all the boy's new bands.

 

I really like what i have heard so far from Vida Blue. Hopefully they will play some live shows soon.
