hydrofluorosilicic acid is the fluoridation product it is formed as a poisonous gas evolved from the fertiliser industry, when this stuff is bubbled through water it creates a aqueous product that is also poisonous. no real research exists to show that it is safe to add to the water. the water is dosed with this stuff without the consent of the end user. theres not much you can do to not ingest this stuff unless you do like the rich people and buy expensive water, poisoned water is for the poor.
hmmm...a patent pending water distiller that isn't in production yet. i wonder how much that baby will cost. looks like it takes up alot of space and won't be exactly easy to move around either. it's interesting, but not a solution to the problems faced by a person like myself, at least not at the present time. but thanks for posting the info. i'll keep my eye on future developments. i still think not putting a poison in the water which is difficult and expensive to remove to begin with is the better option. 2/3 of the water contaminants that enter our bodies do so through the skin. so clean drinking water only solves part of the problem. then there's all the toxic chemicals needed to produce millions of filters and plastic bottles that wouldn't be necessary if a toxic substance wasn't being deliberately added to the water.
very true, if you're poor avoiding fluoride is much, much more difficult. although alot of wealthier people don't know about the risks either. and there are bottled waters that are high in fluoride, so if you don't know what to look for, you could end up paying your money AND getting poisoned. happens all the time. some of the best selling bottled waters would make me horribly sick because of their high fluoride content. (by the way, 'natural' sources of fluoride make me just as sick as synthetic chemical sources.) and the thing is when people get sick gradually over time due to fluoridated water consumption, they rarely make a connection between their illness and the water they're drinking. by the way, some water utilities use sodium fluoride, a byproduct of aluminum production. that was the one that got me originally. a water utility in a small rural town where i was living in alaska had malfunctioning fluoridation equipment. i became extremely ill when exposed to the elevated levels of fluoride. of course, they never publicized or admitted it. in fact, it took me a few years and alot of research to figure out what had happened. but i did eventually get confirmation through a friend who had a friend that worked at the water utility that i was right. not that i needed it by then. i had already had ample time to prove to myself that i was fluoride sensitive and that it was vital for me to avoid fluoride like the plague. i moved away from that town as soon as i realized that there was something about the place that was making me sick. i still wasn't sure exactly what was going on, but a chance combination of trips i took out of state made me realize that there was something there making me sick. within a year after leaving i figured out it was fluoride (long story). not long after i left, i told the people i knew who still lived there what had happened. the city mysteriously and abruptly stopped fluoridating without telling anyone. eventually it came out, but they didn't start up again until they were pressured by the local doctors and dentists. there was a long and loud public debate, but ultimately they ended up fluoridating again. however, they were putting in quite a bit less than they were when i was there. once members of the public, especially the alternative health community, knew about fluoride's dangers - they fought long and hard for years to get fluoride removed. in january 2007 after it was put to a vote, they finally had their fluoride-free water. the problem with that is, communities like this one tend to have pro-fluoride people bringing it up for referendum over and over and over. so you can never be confident in your water supply.
i don't move anywhere without making sure they are not currently fluoridating. however, that can change at any time and without notice. if i were independently wealthy, none of this would be a problem. unfortunately, i'm a single mom struggling to support an autistic child with part-time jobs. my resources for dealing with this challenge are extremely limited.
as information gets out this stuff being added to the water so more people start becoming aware, as more people become aware of its dangers so it becomes a voting issue. you will notice that the pro fluoride lobby shout down the small voice that argues that the fluoride product in water supplies is dangerous, this is a very old tactic. you have to realise that there will always be a very significant percentage of the population that for reasons known unto themselves enjoy being poisoned, strange as that may seem. you should warn the dangers of this stuff widely to at least allow people some food for thought.
really? you actually think a segment of the population enjoys being poisoned? i had never even thought of that. i thought they just didn't believe it because you can't taste or smell fluoride, and they have a hard time believing the 'authorities' would do anything to hurt them. i remember one lady in the town where i was poisoned had a typical reaction when i told her the city fathers were putting rat poison in the water. she looked at me with big eyes and said 'they wouldn't do that'. everybody who knows me knows i've been poisoned by fluoride if we talk for very long. most of them come to the conclusion pretty quickly that i'm a whacko. or they believe that i've got something wrong with me that makes me sensitive to fluoride, so i'm a 'special case'. i try to tell them that's like thinking the first rat to die from rat poison (which is sodium fluoride by the way), is 'special case'. i've tried to talk to any local activists everywhere i've lived to tell them my story and see if there's anything i can do to help resist fluoridation. so far i've never found any other active people anywhere i've lived. i have recently met another parent of an autistic child in this area whose child has issues with fluoride like mine. and she is hooking me up with a local dentist who has been an anti-fluoride activist for many years. we're going to have our first meeting next week. hopefully i'll be able to contribute to public education somehow here. that is, IF i am successful at finding a way to stay in this area.
Gen. Jack D. Ripper: Do you realize that fluoridation is the most monstrously conceived and dangerous communist plot we have ever had to face?
i'm quite aware that the media makes a joke of anti-fluoridation people. that's why people like you can give a shit less that i'm suffering due to being poisoned by government agencies that medicate me against my will.
they do that with everything these days....jokes against anti fluoride, jokes against hippies, and homeless... then people start joking, and hating, and formulating propaganded beliefs... it's....so....fucked up...
thats right the best rebuttal against intellect and reasoning is hate the best thing you can do is try and secure a non fluoridated supply of fresh water. traditionally people allow themselves to be poisoned physically and mentally because they give away their powers of intellect and observation. adding poison to the water supply is a hateful act towards the human race. i think this is a common theme in general.
oh, I didn't mean for the post to be taken that way, it was a bad post, I apologize. Personally I believe that if people needed fluoride so badly they could find the willpower to take it themselves, just like vitamins.
sorry if i overreacted to your post. i was feeling really sick at the time. i'm used to being mocked for complaining that the poison is making me sick, and being called a conspiracy theorist. fluoride is so damn hard to avoid nowadays since it's in most of the food supply. i've been through 40 kinds of hell with this fluoride shit for the past 10 years, and sometimes it takes a toll on my sense of humor.
securing a non-fluoridated supply of fresh water is far more difficult than it at first appears, unfortunately. especially if you have to pay for it.
i'm on cloud 9. i feel so validated and empowered right now. i just had a meeting with a dentist who is an anti-fluoride activist (and has been for many years), and another mom of an autistic child who is sensitive to fluoride like my kiddo is. it was such a treat to talk to people who understand what we've been through and give a damn. i didn't have them disbelieving everything i said about our experiences with fluoride. he invited me to come and speak at a meeting where he'll be speaking at the state capitol next month. and even though i hardly relish the prospect of public speaking, i'm very excited to finally find an avenue for anti-fluoridation activism. yay!
The worst thing about it is the only two ways to remove fluoride is a reverse osmosis filter or distill it out of the water I hate the stuff it clogs my sinuses but their is an antodote vitamin C 1000 milligrams daily will keep it from harming you as much. hope this helps.
yes, vitamin C can help you excrete a bit more of it, but no one can excrete more than 50% of the fluoride that enters their body. the rest stays in your body, most of it in your bones, until it eventually builds up enough to kill you. but thanks for the effort. i can relate to the sinus problem, that's one of the symptoms i get too...and it's miserable...especially when it keeps you awake at night and you get fatigued. i'm extremely sensitive to the stuff and the only treatment for me is avoidance. unfortunately, it's getting harder and harder to avoid. and removing it from the drinking water is alot harder and more expensive than it at first appears. besides, i can't bathe in it either.
Interesting stuff. The water where I am has been flouridated for many years, http://fluoride.ecobytes.net/Alert/United-Kingdom/England/Great-Fluoride-Debate As far as I can tell it has not done me any harm...lol. I do appreciate people are sensitive to it but I don't think those same people should use their sensitivity to colour their opinion on the subject.
I'll be straightforward: "i've been sick for over a month and trying to figure out what the hell is wrong. eventually i came to the unavoidable conclusion that there had to be fluoride in my water. i'm very familiar with the symptoms it produces. i'm very sensitive to the stuff. so even though the city is saying there's no fluoride, i went ahead and tested the water. sure enough, there's fluoride in there. so now it looks like i'm looking at another move, which i can't afford. but the longer i wait, the sicker i'll get. fucking fluoride is turning us into refugees!" You're sick, seemingly sensitive, and are now making the case flouride is a poison and is seemingly poisoning us... It has been in my water for quite some time with no effect on the majority if anybody. Ofcourse some people are sensitive to flouride. People are sensitive to the natural flouride present in water. You are sensitive to flouride and it is seemigly colouring your opinion to flouridisation. I could be wrong but you do seem one sided.
