Saw this with the gf a few weeks ago. I didn't enjoy it or find it funny. Basically a movie of dumbed-down middle school humor that tries too hard. Not my cup of tea, but to each their own.
I recall seeing that part in Wolverine Origins. At the time I didn't realize that the mutant Wolverine fought and killed at the end of the movie WAS Deadpool. In Wolverine Origins, Deadpool had dagger-like blades that retracted out of his arms, like Wolverine's retractable metal claws. Not only that, but Deadpool was out of uniform and had his mouth sewn shut. Their depiction of Deadpool in that movie was an abomination. They shouldn't have even had him in that one at all, as it was a disgusting representation of a badass Marvel hero. I and millions of people were really pissed off about that. Yet I suppose Marvel compensated for their fuck-up in Wolverine Origins by making a really good Deadpool film.
July 9, 2016 Deadpool DVD In my original blurb I mentioned that this movie was funny from the opening credits. I just watched it on DVD tonite and took time to copy those credits. This self-deprecating dialog was the setup and it continued thru the whole movie, with Deadpool talking to the 4th wall with such comments. If you haven't seen the movie, imagine a very involved fight scene with cars and ppl flying thru the air in the midst of their brawl but it goes to stop motion with the camera panning on certain parts of the scene with the credits appearing on screen. 20th Century Fox In Association with Marvel Interprises Presents A Douchebag Film Starring God's Perfect Idiot A Hot Chick A British Villain The Comic Relief A Moody Teenager A CGI Character A Gratuitous Cameo Produced by Asshats Written by the Real Heroes Here Directed by an Overpaid Tool I also enjoyed the bonus gag reels and the Testicular Self Exam PSA announcements as only the wisecracking Deadpool could deliver.
