Simply believing the above highlighted statements will be your saving grace! Only the addict knows when he/she has reached their bottom. The statements you made above are a great sign you are near yours. What's key is choosing the path that completely rids your life of the ability for you to use. The fact you relapsed means you're human but it also means you haven't reached your bottom (point of no return). An addict is at his/her most vulnerable at their bottom, the path up out of it starts with bearing your soul (no secrets) and asking for help. I have no idea what withdrawals from speed, both physical or mental entail (my DOC was Opiates), but no matter the DOC, when an addict reaches that point of no return, it will indeed be the most important decision of your life. You will know you are at that point because when you take that first step up, you won't see it but you will feel it! It will feel like an incredible weight has been lifted but don't be fooled, that is simply a sign that your choice is the right one and the battle ahead won't have to be fought alone. While many of us here will support you on your climb out, asking for help starts with the non-user adult closest to you (parents, wife or friend that you respect), even if it's someone you hurt in the process. It's all good. I have absolutely no desire to use any more. The last time I did it was meth and heroin in the same shot and I went to work high. Nobody knew but I just felt guilty about t and I wasn't enjoying it any more. I'm genuinely tired of using and I'm over it. I see no point in doing it any more. It sounds weird and I thought I would never get to this point and would always enjoy using, but it happened.
