In Santo Domingo I used to feel them every now and then, nothing too strong, enough to knock something out of my computer desk. The town I was born in on the north of the island had a really big one when I was in High School, but I wasn't there to experienced it. Nobody I know was hurt, but there was some damages to roads and houses.

Because of the natural gas reserves getting pulled out of the ground we get (relatively small) human caused earthquakes here in the northern part of the Netherlands. It's getting people quite riled up.
