Well, it's evening time and nothing has happened. I guess it was all a hoax. I didn't believe a word of it from the very beginning. So while you all are freaking out, I'm going to kick back with a bong and watch a li-

Never seemed to be anyone here "freaking out" despite your smug comment to the contrary.

monosphere, i suggest you rethink your position because if you really take that stand, then the government has you EXACTLY where they want you. Taking bong hits, and passing certain probabilities off as impossible. So it didn't happen today means that it won't?

There was a certain someone on here who brought up the idea that the event would be postponed due to the dissemination of the "intercepts". I couldn't agree more.

I was watching a fascinating programe on president reagen the last couple of days .. i was a bit over done with xmas at the time.. anyway i learnt quite a lot.. especialy not to trust speculation... Same climate of fear in the 80s about 'commies' as we have now with other 'enemies' the diffrence i think back then our 'enemies' were willing to talk ....

The 'commies' turned out and were prety much after the same thing as America .. Nuclear weapons in the pursuit of peace.. finaly agreeing that Nuclear weapons were solving nothing and reykjavik was a vital turning point in a peaceful co excistence ..

as i posted in here, there were supposed to be a few meteor hits on that day...on christmas i watched a shooting star fly by the moon so its not unlikely....perhaps the earthquake was a result of a meteor strike in the ocean at that time?
alternativley an american made earthquake machine set to damage south asia though rather far fetched, wouldnt surprise me either.

Apparently you took me a little too seriously. I DO believe that there are plans to attack the US. There's no doubt in my mind that we haven't seen the last of it. I just didn't believe this particular instance. I live in a major port and surrounded by various military bases. I expect that we're on the list as potential targets. Regarding the article in this thread, I felt like it is just a bunch of hype and paranoia propaganda. Nothing more. But who knows? I could be wrong (but I doubt it).

mono, sorry for misinterpreting :) I dunno what to make of the original post, I really don't...but at this late stage in the historical game, it sounds pretty likely to me...and I wouldn't put anything past the Global Empire Builders.

To the person who started this thread: I bet you feel like an idiot right about now (and rightly so).

To the dumbasses who bought into it: I bet you feel like idiots right about now (and rightly so).

Can't you people try thinking for YOURSELVES? Jesus...a random person on the internet predicts a disaster, and some people here believe him without A SINGLE QUESTION AS TO HIS EVIDENCE? (This includes all the people who said things like "I hope you're wrong," as if there was the slightest bit of doubt.)

I guess Henry Mencken was right: "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people." Sorry if I seem a bit bitter. It's just so frustrating to see how widespread gullibility is.

To the threadstarter: You better be careful about the bullshit you spout on the internet. You may think its harmless, but if the police think you're inciting a panic, you can be arrested.

Kandahar, I wouldn't be surprised if you were a cop yourself being paid to "supervise" progressive internet forums.

If I was "supervising," I'd just lurk rather than post my two cents, now wouldn't I?

Maybe I'm just annoyed by dumbasses who believe everything they read on the internet without the slightest hint of skepticism. Ever think of that?

If you didn't believe it yourself and/or weren't just being a troll by trying to convince others to believe it, what POSSIBLE reason would you have for posting it in the first place?

    "expect something big december 27th"
what did you wake up to jackass? why, the biggest earth quake in 40 years on the front page and the biggest humanitarian aid effort in history. an outpouring of money from Governments, NGO's and individuals. 2 weeks from now we'll be hearing about lucrative rebuilding contracts awarded to the states since they've put themselves in charge of the relief effort and no doubt the rebuilding effort. so thats money out of everybody pockets except for large multinational corporations, and the stretchibng thinner of the american military. thats one small step backwards for man, onbe giant leap for the corporation kind.

in ten years when you're sleeping on the street under a new world order banner, trying to avoid the police from deporting you to a work camp because your homeless, we'll see who feels like an idiot.

The earthquake and tsunamis happened on December 26, not December 27. And this thread specifically mentions al-Qaeda, the CIA, and terrorism. In other words, the threadstarter was completely wrong. He's either a troll or an idiot, or most likely of all, both.

LOL, I'm so glad I'm not you.

Thanks for the warning, but I prefer critical thinking rather than bizarre conspiracy theories without the slightest shred of evidence to back them up.

I noticed you didn't post a thread on this till after the 27 th, what did you do ? wait till nothing happened and then got on your high horse, or did you saddle it up and walk him around in circles until you could think of something clever to say ? I don't believe anyone took the threat that seriously but it was an interesting thread, and with the present climate who the hell can tell......

I probably would've posted before the 27th had I seen the thread before then (look at any other thread I've been a party to for evidence of my frustration with gullibility). Anyway, there were several other people who made the same points that I've been making, since the start of this thread.

I don't find it plausible that someone with "connections" to the intelligence agencies of the world decides out of the goodness of his heart to warn the internet tabloids, while not alerting the media or the rest of the American public.

Its funny, I recently read an article about the US Government drilling a hole somewhere in colorado do dump toxic waste in, and it turned out it was draining right into a fault line. Well, the fault became very unstable and many small earthquakes went on for some time. After some damage to local buildings, the Government began to extract the "waste" from the hole, and the quakes stopped. It was studied and they determined that the waste had in some way been "lubracating" the fault.
If anyone knows more about this please post.
The US Government does know how to start earthquakes, and I also found it somewhat strange that soon after we invaded Afghanastan, there were a series of large earthquakes.
I dont believe this quake was caused by human intervention, but reading this post made me want to bring up the theory.

There is a US Navy base over there that is virtually "on" the beach where the tsunami hit, that was unharmed, and was given advanced warning...

Well...interesting....entertaining...but...come on. What I read here about the US knowing about this disaster just seems to be reaching to me. First of all why is it all in the hands of the US to warn people of this? What about like Japan and such?...also this is hardly an exact science...anyone ever heard of mother nature? And why in the world would that naval base have reported "no damage" if it was in a direct path of the tsunami? The thing is just on a small island. The hurricanes that hit here in FL could have destroyed the base my fiance is stationed at had they come on through Tampa...this tsunami would have freakin sunk that naval base....but somehow, although supposedly being in a direct path of this thing, it isn't damaged? Where is this stuff coming from?? A lot of this just sounds completely fabricated.

Plus the obvious bias coming from one of those sources...."The writer is the US-based correspondent for Pakistan’s Daily Times" (we may not be at war with them yet, but they certainly have quite a dislike for us).

Anyway...I'm just saying these "news" stories sound like they're reaching for someone to blame. Like they MUST attribute this horrible tragedy to someBODY, when it was actually just a horribly sad, natural disaster...y'know...the kind we can't ever really predict?
