Somehow I get the feeling it wouldn't be your cup of tea. :)

To me, words can be beautiful and inspiring. Though they may be incapable of capturing the essence of our true natures, they can uplift us and act as transmittors for higher consciousness. I'd say that makes them worthy enough not to be relegated to mere "blah" status. :)

You understood one side of coin. I just happened to be grasping both simultaneously in this instance.

It was actually a little duplicitous on my part, so I apologize. :)

I wouldn't know because I haven't looked into it. Any pointer to truth is my "cup of tea" but one that I've lost the desire to seek out and drink.

I find both to be true.

Umm... that feels like a big Ewwww to me. I'll leave it at that.

I guess it's not your cup of tea then.

Your use of the word "blah", particularly in the same sentence as "enlightened master", would suggest otherwise.

Do you have an aversion to every concept that you don't understand, or just the paradoxical ones? ;)

Thank you, radar. But..."spitefulness?" "threatened?" Not sure where this comes from...do you have some examples?

Those two are the major ones (egoic defense mechanisms that is). There are some more subtle ones in your response to my post on the relationship between spirituality and mental illness, but those were more patronizing as opposed to spiteful.

Yeah, ewwww is what I felt coming from your post. So that's what I shared because I didn't feel the need to go into detail with you. Ewww is enough. See it or don't see it.

Oh, I've no doubt about that. But the thing is that you never smell your own bullshit. So in your reality everyone else is a hypocrite, but just not you.

Your fixation on trivial details, and in retrospect of all things, has no bearing on the central issue (although it does speak volumes about your desperate need to be right). I asked "what use is recognizing the inherent fallibility of words when words have ceased to obscure the true nature of one's being?" You responded, "at that point, none whatsoever". I disagreed, and you then retracted your statement. Not to mention the fact that your initial statement was made with regard to yourself: "The moment I use them they become WRONG. It's good to keep that in mind when speaking."

Twisting words isn't going to help you here bluesafire. But you could take a little of the advice that you're so fond of repeating and have enough humility to admit when you're wrong.

No bluesafire, "ewww" is not enough. If you want me to see something, typing out a vocalization commonly associated with disgust doesn't really accomplish anything beyond gratifying your ego.

What you don't seem to get bluesafire is that "bullshit" is no longer relevant for me. That doesn't mean that I have transcended all behavioral traits that you might associate with "bullshit". But it does mean that I no longer rely upon verbalized judgements like "bullshit" in order to recognize those behavioral traits.

I express myself however it comes to me to express myself. What you do with it or whether or not you find it relevant is really your business.

Well it just seems to show that we see through our own filters, radar. No spitefulness was felt or intended in either of these examples. The first one was a simple matter of pointing out that your own statement was an example of the very thing you were pointing out about others. And I said it not with spite, but with a sense of playfulness. The second quote was also playful, without an ounce of spite. It was a way of making a comment about the way you were going after Neo like a pitbull after a piece of meat, and the way you had similarly gone after Blues before that. No spite, radar, actually I'm having a lot of fun watching all this.

I'm not even touching my remarks in the mental illness post - when I wrote that I was so drunk, the next day I didn't remember writing it, so I can't even answer to what my mood and intentions were at the time, and it's not clear from my own reading. That was Zen alpha; I'm only Zen beta.
