It's a beautiful late winters morning and im about to go to work i KNOW its going to be an excellent day there is a nice clean crisp feeling in the air i LOVE it its so invigorating out!
Its late morning, Ive had my coffee, herbs & RX drugs. Im calm in this moment - it could change at any time.
Let's see... I got off the computer, got in my car and drove over to the post office to put in a change of address. Only to find out that you have to do that online now. :banghead:
what the fuck, that's just ridiculous. when you're in the process of moving, that's when you're least likely to have any sort of access to the internet. i guess i could support it if post offices all put computers in their lobbies. must be a new thing though, i just changed addresses maybe 8 months ago the old fashioned way.
Yeah... I went in ro get the old package with the card to fill out. I grabbed what was in there and it was how to use this new method of doing it on line. There's method to their maddness... You need to supply a credit card number with an address (usually your old one where you no longer live because the bank is slow at changing the address on the card :banghead: ) and >>> they need to charge your card a buck just to verify you are a living breathing human <NOTE this part* So apparently I live here now... My email box just got verification of that.
I'm both angry and depressed. My apartment building has new owners, and I received a notice that I have 1 month to pack up all my stuff - so they can renovate the entire building. I'll be placed in a hotel/motel (not sure which) for 30 days and all my furniture, books, dishes, clothes, DVDs, computer, phone, microwave, TV, stereo, posters, paintings, etc. will be placed in storage. Then I'll have to move myself (and everything I own) back into the new and improved apartment in a month or so. Anyway, I'm going to have to move twice in a single month. :willy_nilly: QP
So you have to have a computer and a credit card to change an address with the post office? So much for poor people without either or those just trying to live off the grid. What will they think of next? I guess the post office needs to find new ways to make money. :banghead:
