That's the part that I do not understand....don't get me wrong I'm no Bible thumper and am not the most educated person when it comes to Christianity...but don't they teach love for all God's creations? So, it's not OK to hurt another human, but ducks and other creatures are OK??? Since ducks dont have feeling like normal humans, does that mean that people who have serious illness and do not have the same feeling as "normal" humans should have rocks thrown at them.....

Remember, when we leave this life we will not be judged on the house we lived in, the cars we drove or the amount of money in our bank accounts.....it will be how we affected the world around us....the differences we have made in the lives of others....whether human, dog, duck, horse, etc....

And as for your cat only wanting to be with you.....animals can sense "good people"....that should make you very happy : )

I'm agnostic my self. But I know lots on a few religions. I even went to a private christian school for awhile. The bible is probably confusing to some in the sence where they mix things up and take thing the wrong way. Yes, it talks about sharing love with all gods creations. But it also says that god put animals on this earth just to eat and for our benifits...
So my confusing is, how is there anyway of killing something nicely just to eat, wear, design your house with...
    Heh, bottom line.
The boy shouldnt have been throwing stones at the ducks.

actually, the animals weren't put on earth to be eaten. Adam was told to tend for the garden and animals. after the flood, God gave Noah permission to eat the meat of animals. it doesn't say they where here for our pleasure or for us to eat.

It has always bothered me when I meet people who think of animals as only animated objects and not living, thinking, feeling creatures identical to humans in every way except for our arrogance.

I know for a fact that you did the right thing and perhaps you may have prevented yet another kid from growing up to be what I consider nothing more than dispicable human beings.

    Right thing

And as the others have said, stick to your beliefs, dont let these people distort your vision...you are RIGHT. I admire your unwillingness to go along with what they say and continue to think as you do about the world
