You might hear about this: Police are questioning a man in connection with Thursday morning’s explosion outside the British Consulate in Midtown. Two makeshift grenades caused minor damage but no injuries. The Associated Press cites law enforcement sources as saying the individual is a United Nations employee from the Netherlands who was found loitering near the building shortly after the blast. The sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, did not specify whether the man is a suspect. (in case you didnt know, a small explosive went off in front of the british consulate in newyorkcity this morning)
so.. hm.. what are you trying to tell us? You're from the Netherlands originally.. live in the US now... what's your job? Probably a TERRORIST!! hehe.. ah well.. the US wants to invade us anyway so.. bring'm on (and let them wear cute uniforms)!
i'm a lover not a fighter. why would the us want to invade a low-lying, under sea-level, contaminated flat piece of land if it already has new jersey? no oil. lots of tall people but not a single decent basketball player. (except for Rik Smits). actually i only posted that because i wanted to be the first to tell you so you would think i was cool.
Eh.. dude.. I was joking. Plus.. there is a little thing called the The Hague Invasion Act.. that was what I was referring to...
i would sooner think i misunderstood you than believe you are trying to insult me. but i must ask you what is "the hague invasion act?"
Cool "Critics sarcastically call it the "Hague Invasion Act". They are referring to legislation pushed by rightwing Republican members of Congress aimed at blocking the International Criminal Court. The Republicans fear that American soldiers serving their country abroad will unjustly be hauled before the ICC in The Hague. Their "American Service Members' Protection Act" – that's the official name – would authorise the president to use force to free US military personnel held by the court. Which could, theoretically, lead to US commando teams raiding Dutch prisons in search of comrades under international indictment. " (http://www2.rnw.nl/rnw/en/currentaffairs/region/northamerica/us010821.html) So basically.. no matter what shit US soldiers (or 'vip's' like the president himself) pulls, thanks to this law they can never be arrested by international law. And since the international court is set in The Hague, The Netherlands.. they can thanks to this law even invade our country with full force to free them. An old news thingie says about this Act: "The American Servicemembers Protection Act 2001 (S857) is designed to protect US soldiers and VIPs accused of war crimes from being arrested and tried by an international criminal court. When hearing that General Pinochet, the ex-dictator of Chile, passed a law granting himself immunity from criminal prosecution, one naturally views that act as self-serving nonsense. If the Taliban, or Iraq, passed a law authorising military assaults on any country that attempted to try terrorist suspects who were citizens of Afghanistan or Iraq, we would be outraged. But just such a law for the US is precisely what the US congress is considering!" (http://www.kuro5hin.org/story/2001/10/15/14542/384) I'm just astouned by the fact that everyone forgot about this so easily or didn't even hear about it. Wtf are they thinking claiming some kind of immunity but at the same time pointing fingers at every single nation that is trying to get a bit of power in this world or who's local politics aren't to their liking... and let's not forget.. even invading other countries without proven reason. Oh.. oh.. and besides.. telling countries like China not to invest so much in their military but at the same time boasting up their own military to sky high productions. Argh.. getting angry now...
wow. that's crazy. i never heard of it. maybe thats just me being ignorant. did anyone else hear about this?
Yeah, i did. My dad is very anti-American and he knows too much about this stuff. I get to hear everything, including comments and complains.
