yeah same here if i dont have anything to do or anywhere to go i dont see any point in taking a bath or shower like "yay i am clean by myself" if i had someplace to be or someone to see i whould probably need too so i can be like "yay i am clean with someone" sometimes i forget and worn someone before hand something like "yeah i probably smell pretty bad"
You guys ever take showers at night, like for work the next morning? Some people think it's gross. But I like to not have ice cold water dripping down my back at 5 30 in the morning.
I just don't get the shower at night thing. You shower, then you sweat and far in your sleep and go to work dirty and smelly with shocking bedhead. I have to at least wet my hair in the morning and I might as well shower if i'm going to do that.
I always wait until my scalp starts peeling, and then I get myself sharply into the steam cubicle for half an hour.
Wow, that's really roughing it. I don't know if I'd feel safe bathing in rainwater with all the barium and aluminum, and all the other stuff that's sprayed into the atmosphere. Don't you guys have a well?
I shower daily. Twice on a work day. I use a mineral rock instead of deodarant. I also put on patchouli essential oil after showering.
id hardly call it roughing it.. and i find it hilarious that you bathe in city water pumped from the gennesee river(or wherever rochester gets there water?does it matter?lol) and are questioning the safety of rain water.. lmao... no we dont have a well and 99% of the time our cistern supplies us with ample water.
Woa, woa, woa...let me explain. I shower at night because I take 30 min showers (I shower every other day, though, so water nazis can back off), and if I showered in the morning, I'd have to wake up a whole 30 mins earlier, which for me would be pure torture. And, I never sweat at night. I keep my room cold bc I like to snuggle under the covers. I wear my hair in a braid when I sleep with it wet, so I don't get bed head. Since I don't usually sweat at night, I don't see how I get "dirty" just by sleeping.
hardly third world,in fact they are making a huge comeback.. http://www.raindropscisterns.com/cat_what.php http://theraincatchers.com/
Rain water containing enough sulfuric and hydrochloric acid to destroy half the trees in the northeast US Hotwater
I don't quite understand. Tap water comes from the rain...are you saying they filter it for poisonous metals that make their way in to the water supply from the atmosphere. Also, hippiebilly obviously lives in a remote location...is he as much in danger as someone like you or me living in a metropolitan area?
oh and BTW,we drink spring water from a spring i tapped myself .. im sure theres something gross to that as well simply because it doesnt come out of the tap..
well which is it? :toetap05: i keep my bedroom cool too, but almost every night i wake up at least once drenched in sweat and freezing my ass off... apparently i grew up in 17th century ethiopia; almost no one in my school had "city water." i was lucky enough to have a spring that we drew dirty water from; most of my friends had cisterns...
if you would check the first of those two links i posted you will see rainwater can be easily filtered to be 100% safe for drinking. thats more than i would say for rochesters public water supply.. or most anywheres public water..
