coo, tell us about your parents reaction so we can lol

 

What do you guys think of them? I just showed 2 of my friends (kind of, one is my ex/possibly once again gf eventually). She said they look terrible, but my guy friend said they looked badass, and would be awesome once they got longer.

But since you guys actually know what you're talking about, another set of opinions would be nice.

 

they look like shit, but give it a few weeks, months, years and they are gonna look really fucking sweet. don't let the 'rents discourage you. this is a character building experience.

Ok, not sure how I should approach the whole parent thing. They just got home like 5 minutes ago, and said hi to me from downstairs, but I haven't been out of my room yet since they've gotten here so they haven't seen me or my hair yet. Should I go tell them, or just wait for them to see and then go from there?

Could give a shit less what other people think. Only reason I care about my parents is because they have actual power over me through me living at their house and their paying for my college room and board.

By the fact that he is scared to show them I think their reaction is going to be some what less than positive, though he's a hip dude smoking while they're out, he should be able to go down and show them he's messed his hair up.

OP, this is less a dig at you, and more a dig at the dragging out of the whole hiding away thing, if you want dreadlocks so bad surely your parents would know your planning on getting them anyway?
