Do all psychedelics give you ego loss?

John Lilly took LSD in an isolation tank, but I don't know about the sleep deprivation.

 

Yeah I think we're talking about the same thing. It's that sensory deprivation tank thing from the movie "Altered States". Just floating in water in a small chamber with no lights and without any external influence on the senses. I don't know anyone who did that shit, but I'm guessing it would be pretty crazy and would likely destroy the ego, with or without psychedelics.

 

Allright now I understand how people say ego death feels like actual death and when they feel at one with everything. Now I can't wait to experience this. It seems truly amazing.

 

Read Center of the Cyclone by John Lilly, it's about just that. Well, the first half at least. The second half is about African mysticism or some shit.

That's fuckin awesome dude. I only read Chapter 3, which is the chapter about the sensory deprivation tank with LSD. It sounds like it would be an amazing experience. I'm guessing it would be pretty amazing to just lie on a very soft cushion in a pitch-black room for the entirety of a trip, but the tank would be superb.

so...about milligram doses of acid...that's really not as much as i previously thought. you could get a milligram from a ten strip right? if a hit is 100 ug, then 10 would be 1 mg.
right? i always imagined a mg of L to be a lot more for some reason, not that 10 hits isn't a lot

 

Dude, I think a 1mg dose of L would me magical. I think I probably came close to that with 7 White-On-White blotters, because them shits were SO potent and SO clean. It was magical. 63mg of 2ce still blows that shit out of the water though, as far as intensity.

I'd like to try 1.5mg of L, personally.

 

is that the most 2ce you've ever taken? for sure. i mean the time you "finger printed" it coulda been more. but is that the most you've measured? and that was more intense than 7 hits of L?

i think if i had unlimited L in front of me right now, the most i'd take would be 4 or 5 hits. to start. the most i've taken were 3 at once (with a bit of tolerance) 20 mg of 2ce is def more intense than that

i'd love to get some acid though

 

63mg of 2ce is the only time I've ever experienced total ego-death. Like I've said about that trip, numerous times, I felt like I died and was reborn as pure electric energy. Nothing else has even come close. lol I think it had a lot to do with the leather chair I was sitting in, which was as soft as a cloud. Everything disappeared and I don't remember anything for a couple of hours, aside from the fact that I felt like thousands of electric currents converging into one. It was amazing.

 

So could ego death be when you feel you are neither dead or alive, and when you think of someone you feel you are them or like just the thought of them brought them as close as they needed to be? I felt that way on a lil over an eighth of shrooms, felt like I was in a loop of foreverdom.
