Do compliments make you feel uncomfortable?

Any compliment is nice if it's genuine. But it gets so awkward if it's someone trying to suck up to you.

 

Insults mean they care enough about you to try and hurt you...I said TRY...haha losers

I love it when I can make my husband laugh...it's really hard to do, so it makes me feel good about myself..I think he is Autistic or something :/

The paradox is that ladiesmen are needy while acting otherwise.

And only needy women like needy men who act otherwise.

And that if you aren't needy of outcome or validation, you're attractive to women automatically...

And yet you will refrain from compromising your standards so you'll end up not fucking as many as you would anyhow.

You'll pass on women who are needy and nothing but trouble.

Well, it depends! If they're exagerated, or undeserved, yes..

I really don't like it when people compare me to people I don't like though, even if they mean it as a compliment..

I also don't see myself the way others seem to.. like, often, what people like most about me is what I dislike most about me, so, usually that makes me uncomfortable and like they're just pitying me or something..

 

I love them, but I don't know how to respond to them.

I like compliments, I believe them if they're about my clothes or work etc, and as far as looks go, If they say im pretty depending who they are, i believe they truly believe it. I dont always believe it but then again, its the thought that counts and i'll always appreciate the gesture.

EDIT: i probably said believe too much.

 

i throw out compliments with such an attitude of annoyed amusement that people tend to believe me.

 

eh, it usually seems like it's to be polite, so I don't really care. Other times it can be alright, I guess.
It can be awkward though, there was this guy I worked with at the cake shop who creeped me out.
It might have been him and not the compliments... or maybe a bit of both because he was kind of a creep and the compliments were a bit much... especially for a work environment.
Things like what my ex did, like he came to my work and ordered two cupcakes with Tracy and Shawn(his name) on them and said they were for his beautiful girlfriend was nice
...it also made the first guy stop hitting on me lol
