Do feminists want equality or control?

You obviously have no clue what feminism is! MamaPeace is close. The majority of feminists I know believe in equality. And there is such as thing as "masculinity studies" similar to "women's studies" in colleges. All we want is to see women have equal access to everything. Feminists believe the majority of society is designed to deny women their rights. Fear of women and femininity is a major problem in all societies, including ours. Why do we shame gay men? Because they have feminine qualities. Do some research outside of hipforums on feminism for beginners. You will be surprised how narrow minded your post is!

 

Many colleges and universities are calling the programs Gender Studies which include men, women and LGBT.

 

Women are now doing better than their male counterparts academically, they are able to progress in their chosen careers and are no longer inhibited by social conventions - they're not expected to get married, can date men, etc - so how are today's young women disadvantaged?

First of all, it isn`t a law. There`s no law that specifically mentions women.

What there is is blase casualness when it comes to the courts and society at large when men are victims of violence or sexual harassment by women because men are supposed to well, 'take it like men.'

Your quote in bold is nothing but the world of men. Welcome to the real world, where your actions have consequences. Any man who fucks with another gets fuck with back. It`s not even something we question.

Therefore, if you`re fucking with someone who`s larger than you you know what's coming. This is instinctively so, but women are shielded from the same accountability.

Women who hit men should be hit back. And I don`t mean play fighting, either. Hitting men is not a right.

 

There`s still some trumped up statistic about women earning less than men going around, when in fact women simply don`t work as much as men. Period.

I`ve worked all sorts of jobs in many different places, and I`ve never ever seen women not earn the same as men for the same amount of work. Neither does anyone I know or talked to. What I have seen, is women getting off the hook in all sorts of jobs that require physical effort and subs, and extra hours, etc.

I remember working as a bus boy at a busy restaurant in Rockefeller Center, NYC. Whenever there was a little extra job to do, whom did the bosses call? Men.

Need to carry a bunch of dishes for an extra half hour. Men. Oh, someone is sick. Whom do we call to sub first? Men.

Did we have bigger pay checks at the end of the week? Shit yeah.
