Sometimes I think that no one ever stays the same.
Sometimes I think that no one ever changes, they just become more of who they always were.

I don't know the answer to that. Some couples say they enjoy running a business together, which means they do almost everything together every day. I haven't had that experience.

That's a good way of saying it. :)

    Hi there,

sounds a little bit like hell on earth to me ;). Imagine coming home after your day at the shop and there is nothing to talk about, because your partner already knows all the things you have experienced during the day.

A decade or so ago I thought the best woman for me is one that is a techie herself, that shares my interests and my insights into that stuff. But over time my mind changed. In general her occupation doesn't matter that much. But if I can choose, I would pick one that deal with social things or literature or art or such things. That way we can 'complete' each other, which is important. At least that is my hope ;).

    Regards
    Gyro

You can talk about current events, sports, weather, music, movies, books, spirituality, social issues, and a zillion other things that go beyond the day to day grind of making a living. I don't spend a lot of time talking to my partner about work. If you live with a bright person who is interested in a lot of things, you should never run out of anything to talk about. :)
